How long for creatine water retention to kick in?

Essentially title. I'm getting back on a creatine/whey powder mix today. However, I'm weighting in for a weightlifting comp in two days. I'm currently on the dot for my weight class, and I'm using water manipulation & carb limitation to help keep my weight there.

So my question: drinking about a gallon of water a day, will taking in 6 - 9 grams of creatine / day up to the competition affect my weight significantly, if at all? It's been a good two months since I've last gotten creatine from a supplement. Thanks, will measlymeasly rep.

No lie I usually see the effects of creatine(on the scale and physically) within the same day if taken in morning. Within 2 days otherwise..

See the effects fade after 3-4+ days typically.
