For most beginners eating breakfast, lunch and supper is enough for them. Its good to keep the glycogen levels in your muscles and supply your body with enough energy to perform. Most teens dont grow because they do not get in enough calories, so adding in those extra meals packed with protein, carbs and lipids will significantly help. Thats why most teens end up abusing supplements and steroids because they "wont grow" yet they do not consume nearly enough energy.
