Stats:
5'5
155lbs
maxes
bench: 155
squats: 225x2
deadlift: 305
I've competed twice last year and plan to do so again this year. My next meets include the qualifier in June and the Provincials in October. I've been lifting and competing classic/raw so far and plan to follow this road.
Totals:
1st comp 262.5kg
2nd comp 280kg
Game plan will be to hit at least 300kg or 660lbs total this year.
I'm currently running through Sheiko. I've runned through 32, and now finishing up the third week of 37. I spent the majority of last year on 5/3/1 with good results.
On a personal note the reason why I am naming this log "the resurrection" is because I had been logging for over 2 years on an alternative lifting site that had been recommended to me by a friend. However the owners of said website decided to ban a small group of popular women whom refused to recommend the house brand. Hence I started a search for my new home.

King- same area as you if the info in your avi is correct.
Sheiko 37 week 3 Day 3
Bench:
85 1x5
100 1x4
115 2x3
135 5x2
Squats:
120 1x5
140 1x5
165 2x5
180 5x4
Bench:
85 1x6
100 2x6
110 4x6
This took me 2hrs because my lower back kept seizing up. I had to stretch and foam roll between the heavy squat sets. I ditched the flies and goodmornings. I really need to book a deep tissue massage with my girl. The numbness in my fingers from pinched nerves in my back is getting worse.

Follow me where it suits you best, my workout stuff will be pretty much cut and paste. I'm hoping to get more positive feedback in here once I can poste vids and such. Speaking of the wrists - I might have posted this question for you elsewhere but I never did get the answer (or the question never got posted...) anywho, as I was focusing on holding the bar lower in my hand (towards the palms) it felt counter-intuitive to giving it the grip of death ie attempting to pull it apart??? This will be tricky for me. As for bar path when I focus I'm good but these long monkey arms of mine tend to be dyslexic when I'm tired.

I think I saw it, but then you weren't there to answer or get it, so I never posted again.
1) are you wearing wrist wraps? These really will help keep the wrist straight
2) have to really have a tight grip on the bar (tight everything, right - crack a walnut with dat a$$)
I'll be following along here, just curious to see responses...I can't post too many places, I'll never get any work done. But I agree, spread it out and you'll get more/different responses, but sometimes it can be too much. Choose carefully what you take away and don't change up too many things at once.

Bench:
85 1x5
100 1x4
115 2x3
135 2x3
140 3x2 - felt really rockstar with these. focusing on keeping wrists straight and getting better at it.
Deadlifts:
160 1x4
190 1x4
220 2x3
255 2x3
270 3x2 - rushed through my stretching and activation and paid for it. These felt sloppy and heavy. Must NOT rush those hips.
Bench:
90 1x4
110 1x5
125 4x4 - tiring out
Facepulls:
90 3x10 PR +5lbs haven`t had a pr in a while so this is kinda fun.
80 2x10
2 hrs. skipped the split squats.

The reason I was nicknamed "Dragon Lady" amongst other things. Had this piece done last september. Planning on some more work this summer between meets.
Here's the link to my latest vid from 2 weeks ago. Benched 135 for 10 reps.

Rockstar Numbers all around!
I'm not following this wrist conversation very well. Is this the same general idea as when doing pushups? Like it's not so easy to just have palms on the ground because of what it does to the wrist, and so it's better to use dbs on the ground? Is that what you mean by straight wrist?

Basically my wrists bend backwards when the bar is heavy and I don't focus. You want the bar nestled closer to the meaty part of your palm, reason being is you keep better control of the bar and it's path. Also I tend to have achey wrists and this prevents the issues.

Got the gym a little later than usual and never really fired up.
Sheiko 37 week 4 Day 3.
Squat:
120 1x5
140 1x4
165 2x3
190 2x3 - I was supposed to do 6 reps but an idiot got all up in my space to grab a plate from the rack. I had to stand there with the weight on my back while he took forever. I need to drop the bar and remind them of the danger; "Oops was that your head? So sorry man. I never saw you."
190 2x6 - got the bar positioned on my traps properly and the weight felt lighter.
***Forgot to mention that the 190x6 is a +3 rep Pr. Nice.
Paused Bench:
85 1x5
100 1x5
115 5x5
It was pretty late by this time so I skipped the accessories yet again. I know, bad girl. I have a nice deep tissue massage booked for tomorrow which should help with the knots accumulating in my back.Last edited by nlmain; 03-22-2012 at 06:12 AM.
