    How do people only eat 2500 calories a day?

    Finally decided to try cutting for the first time in ever pretty much. ****ing so hungry everyday. I seriously must eat 4000-4500 calories on a normal day when not trying to cut because I seriously eat a ton more than what I'm eating right now.

    What blows my mind is how the American daily calorie chart is at 2000. Do people honestly eat this little not trying to cut, but just because they only feel the need to eat that much? I can barely hit under 2500 and this is taking every ounce of will power I have haha.

    i struggle to eat 2500 calories, always hit about 2200. will hit around 3000 on a good day.

    Nope, I don't eat much fast food at all. I dunno I guess I just eat a lot. I never realized how much till now though. I figure I normally consume over 2000 calories before dinner then probably have about 1k at dinner and then I workout at night so I generally eat a little before, then a protein shake after, a decent amount of food, and milk. This is based off estimations by what I'm consuming right now (which I have carefully counted).

    I'm doing a 500 calorie deficit @ 3k/day, and it's ****ing killing me. I've cut on 2k/day before...never again.

    cutting on 1800 cals. No big deal. I do nothing but lift so my maintenance is low as fck. Keeping the fats up so i stay full longer.

    Had to drink about 3-4 oz. of whiskey to achieve dat dere 2.3kcal for today (proteins and fats were in order... just need cals)

    When in diet mode, I tend to become a little too conservative w/intake and sometimes under eat without knowing it. So I monitor and measure through fitday.

    before my transition from bulk to cut I made the majority of my calories come from liquid

    I am now on my cut eating 33% less than what I would normally eat and I am eating more food. Feels good man,

    I might bump up to 3k. I feel like that's enough of a deficit for me. I work hard as phuck in the gym so my daily maintenance is probably pretty high.

    I drink 15-20 oz of skim milk per day usually (150-200 calories) and get 225-300 calories from protein shakes per day, but besides that all my calories are food (around 2000).

    seems dangerously low. unaware of what psmf is but why would you eat so little? I've read that eating too little will actually cause more fat gain due to your body going into survival mode, not to mention I don't know how you would possibly get enough protein as well as not lose a lot of strength and muscle mass.
