Anyone feel if they kept the original D2 classes and perhaps modified 1 or 2, they would have maintained their Diablo fanbase. This way, not so sure.
I mean, create one hybrid class, fine. You had Assassin and Druid, hybrid caster/fighter. But no Rogue/Amazon type of deal? Hard, Blizzard. H a r d.
I like the return of the Monk though.
Still gonna make a Barb. Been riding that scooter since Hellfire.

Never played a Diablo game before, or any Blizzard game for that matter. But I'm excited as hell for this. I swear to God I've walked by the Diablo II pack at the store multiple times and contemplated getting it. Never did, though. Worth the buy right now, or should I just wait for D3?

I think there is a couple of options. You can prepurchase it from blizzard or sign up for that Warcraft year thing and they let you download it.

so the items u grind thru during campaign, you level up and then u go to a arena and u can pvp?

Yeah I gotta save some money for them lol. Kind of reminds me of May 18, 2010: Alan Wake and Red Dead Redemption released on the same day. My GF at the time was getting ignored quite a bit lol she kept worrying when I didn't text her for 2-4 hour periods. Surprised she never thought I might be cheating.

And yeah, I'll prob be playing Barbarian, I like warrior classes.

Not gonna lie I'm probably not going to play hardcore. A small mistake can cost you all your progress

if what you said is true, that's great. it sucked having to beat the whole game in d2 to play hardcore.


Hardcore is awesome in a way.. it makes the game SO much harder and more exciting. but you also kind of forget eventually, and it's usually 1 stupid careless mistake while you're just farming items, etc. that ends up killing you.

I think i'll play normal mostly and if I start to get bored, i'll go to hardcore. Unless I convince all my friends to go to hardcore =)


if the pvp sucks in this game, then i'll be more tempted to do hardcore. it definitely adds something. it's exciting to have a high level character. in regular gameplay, everyone is high level and it's just like "ok you ran around, died a bunch, killed ****, and eventually got to high lvls" who cares, everyone did it.
