Hey guys, just curious on how to build some chest muscle with these REALLY long arms of mine...
I know the typical answers
"Dude, just bench more and eat"
"BB and DB bench"
But honestly, my bench has been stuck at (Get ready for the patheticness) 105-110lbs for 4 months now. And WHEN I BENCH I feel like an utter weakling..
So what should I do?
Body weight exercises?
I Cycle every single day (Monday-Thursday), once in the morning for an hour fasted and then usually in the afternoon before work. Lift 3 days a week.
Here are some pics just to show you all my lame physique. lol (BTW I had gyno surgery, hence the reason for my nipples)
All suggestions welcome :P

What's your technique like? As in, how is it you, personally, do the bench press? It could be (partly or entirely) form, you see.
What routine are you doing? Any exercises that would support/enhance the bench at all?
DO you actually eat enough, and of the right kinds of stuff?
Oh, and where is it that you tend to fail, when you do?

eat and bench more. srs.
and you cycle twice a day for perhaps 2 hours or so? and lift 3 times per week?
you are not eating enough to overcome all of that srs. hard to make size/strength gains when you are cycling like crazy...kinda need to pick one as your primary goal...cycling performance or putting on strength and size...you can still do the other, but they are kinda competing with each other.Stern Crew

1 - the problem isn't related to the length of your arms
2 - post a vid of your bench
3 - post your program in it's entirety
4 - post your diet in it's entirety
5 - with that much cycling, meal timing may become an issueThe more that you read, the more things you'll know.
The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.

i'm guessing you have really low testoserone if you had gyno. If you're eating enough and working as hard as you can then pretty much any routine is going to give you some gains, even with **** technique. If I was you I'd order some clomid or nolvadex to get your test levels up to normal.
edit: and throw in some squats if you're not already. Do you do a full routine?

Yes Tyciol. As far as I'm concerned, if you don't bench press at least your body weight then you should be doing pushups to build strength.
It hasn't escaped my notice that the people on this website who are the scrawniest and weakest, generally in need of the most help, tend as a group to put up the most resistance to advice or input.

Thanks, that video helped a lot. At least, I think it did. I'll have to try it out. I've been having issues with the bench press. It's definitely what I look forward to most at the gym, but then I remember right as I start doing it that it KILLS my shoulders, in a bad way. I think this technique will help me avoid that problem in the future; I can't wait to try it out.

IMO, that video is the best single video out there for bench. I'd suggest watching it more than once (various times, each time you'll probably key in on one aspect to absorb, so periodically you'll end up getting it all down); especially before you go for a bench day. Then try to enact as much of it as possible. It is how I worked on my bench form and finally made progress.

It's not your routine...you have barely any mass (upper body at least) and have very low numbers on your bench. Get stronger on bench and dips and you'll grow fine. You do not need a new routine lol - you need to put on some muscle by benching 2 times a week and focusing on getting stronger (which means time , RECOVERY and FOOOOOD)
From these pictures your chest also looks quite a bit ahead of your delts and arms.www.xccellence.com

Could think of some rare situations where it might be good to do otherwise, like if someone had mobility/balance issues that prevented them from doing the progressions up to flat (wall/knee/elevated hands). But it'd require extreme handicaps to necessitate that.
I feel stupid for not doing pushups more often. I have some meme in my head saying you'll work your shoulders too much and your triceps too little" but when I actually remember doing pushups more intensely I remember feeling it very strongly in the triceps.
