    bulking ...6-split

I currently do 6 day split hitting each muscle group 2x a week. I don't have a problem with this but I think I may be over-doing it. I was thinking of switching it to a 5 day split, and each week I would rotate 1 muscle group day to be hit only once that week, giving it a nice 1 week rest....is 6 days too much or?

Post your split. Keep in mind you grow when you rest so maybe even a 4 day split would be better.

Number of exercises, sets, reps, loading intensities, injury history, nutrition, and rest all factor into this. Hard to give an answer without all of that information.

About 4 to 5 exercises per muscle group, 4 sets, reps are usually 10-8-8-6 or so, increasing weight on each set, intensity wise: usually first 2 sets are warmup and I go to failure on the last 2 sets....no injuries and 'clean' diet on a 400-500 surplus. My rest is 1 day completely off, and each muscle group has 3 days in between.

The only important question is, are you making progress? If the answer is yes, don't change anything. If you are stalling, then I'd probably add more rest days into your routine.
