Whey Protein, Creatine, Pre workout, everything else is bs. That is what the hodgetwins say and I agree. However what do you guys think about amino acid supplements are they a waste of money? Perhaps pre workout is waste of money too, you could just drink coffee or caffeine supplement before workout which is cheaper alternative.

With the amount the Hodgetwins talk about test boosters, I would be willing to bet they see a doctor for hormone therapy, or to boost their test to upper healthy levels. Not 'cheating', but they're not entirely upfront. They have left their old videos up and you can watch them. I believe one vid they recommended 3g of protein per lb of body weight, something ridiculous, back 5+ years ago. The problem is that they say things are bunk or good based on a day's or week's usage.
Fish oil is pretty important as a supplement. Non bodybuilding studies have shown that depression can be a direct cause of insufficient omega oil intake.
I do think preworkouts are very useful... but it's worth knowing what each ingredient does, and what each dosage means, before chugging the stuff down.
Other supplements that I think are worth the $$$:
- vitamin D... if you don't get enough sun it's a smart thing to supplement vitamin D beyond a multivit
- multivitamin... the Hodgetwins may say multivits are bogus, and I'm sure there are poor quality ones, but if your diet isn't perfect, you will benefit from a multivit
- betaine... lots of research on betaine... if you're not getting enough in your diet, then you should probably supplement betaine if you're an advanced lifter
- agmatine + glycerol (as vegetable glycerol) + citrulline + (taurine optional) ... excellent pumps
- carnitine
- beta alanine
- some of the things in preworkouts (caffeine being #1, all the B vitamins, etc... and some above-mentioned things are top supplements in preworkouts)
