Wouldn't say it's overdoing it, but I'd switch a few things around. Mon: Chest/Tris, Tues: Back/Biceps, Wed: Shoulders/Legs, Abs 3x's a week. Thurs: Rest Fri: Chest or Legs again. Sat: Rest Sun: Full body. Then switch it up the next week. People have their own routine and what works for them. So try yours out and if it's workin, then keep doin it. Just don't get stuck workin out the same way over and over again.

Why work out Chest and Bi? Better off sticking to Chest and Tri for the day, and back and bi.

Doing Chest/Bi's is perfectly fine as it allows you to work the bi's/tri's when they are completely fresh and not fatigued from the earlier exercises in a workout. However, if you are going to use a body part split it makes little sense to also have a full body day. With the routine you outlined you are working some of your upper body muscles 3 times in a one week assuming you are doing a press and a pull on your full body day. I'd make the decision to either do a full body 3 times a week routine or a body part split where you choose the frequency based on what's optimal for your own recovery ability.

Chest and bis are fine to work together. In fact here is a split that has minimal overlap.
    Mon: Chest/bi
    Tues: Legs
    Wed: Rest
    Thurs: Shoulders/tris
    Fri: Back

I would never do a full body day, unless you plan on working out for a tremendous amount of time on monday and killing your workouts for the rest of the week due to muscles already being sore.

It also doesn't hurt to do a light ab workout every day after each workout

To be honest if youre a beginner, youre better off sticking to a Starting Strength routine 3-4 times a week. Beginners can keep adding weight to their exercises like a mad man. This slpit will slow your potential gains down. Once you find it hard to add weight, then you go for these type of splits or something like 531/5x5

Would it not hurt to then do a light chest, back, or leg workout everyday? (A hint of sarcasm)

No but from my experience abs don't get sore as easily as the other body parts so i find it effective to get a few sets in with them after each workout. except for leg days because i usually have no energy and just wanna throw up after legs.

Doing a full body and then a split in the same week is probably not the best way to go about it.

Either do a full body routine 3x a week or if you perfer a split an upper/lower or push/pull can be good as well. If you're a beginner, as we don;t really know since you never mentioned your stats on the big 3, then frequency is better than volume.

That is a list of bodyparts.

    We all have those.

Do you have actually have a.......gulp, program?
    Beginners:

Beyond novice, 5 3 1 or see above:)

Unless it is obvious to anyone who isn't blind that you lift weights, you might still benefit from a little more attention to big basic barbell exercises for enough reps:).

Soreness doesn't indicate an effective workout.. So I'm not sure why light abs everyday is part of your routine. Why not train them like every other muscle group then give them a rest?
