if so what was it like, what did you do, what was your reaction when the first plane hit, did you think it was terrorists straight away ?
my uncle was in nyc and he said it was absolutlely crazy and he had a newphew my aunts side who was in the lobby (ground floor) of the world trade centre when the plane hit tower one, he just got the heel away from the towers though and i he was ok, still to be there on 9/11 must have been unbelieveable, id probably be in shock if anything like that happened here in the uk , our bombing were nothing compared to the scale of 9/11

I wasn't in NYC, but I'm about an hour outside of it. I was literally scared ****less, because my father was on a flight for work from Newark airport that morning, and we couldn't reach him by cell phone (All we knew at the time was that a flight out of Newark had been hijacked). We were literally ****ting bricks until we were able to get a hold of him at about 1 in the afternoon.

Yes srs, i was in the third grade and i remember my parent picking me up from school and paper falling all over the place, i walked into a supermarket and people from Manhattan were already there stocking food and had dirt on them...after that i watched the news all day and went outside to the park where more papers were falling...my friends said we were going to kill the people who did this...

I was 30 miles out. My Cousin had to jump in a news stand when the dust cloud came. Girlfriends father at the the time worked in the building next to WTC. We could not get ahold of him. He was fine ( at a clients that day which was uptown)but could not go back to his office for like 2 months and when he was allowed it was just to get personel belongings. Best friend was 30 blocks north in a high rise and had a view of the whole thing. We where AOL instant messaging when first plane hit. Had Aol instant message play by play for the next three hours. Wifes step brother is not the same. so they say. Don't know the whole story (I didnt know her or him back then) He was in the one of the towers. Sorta lost his drive for his career. Dusty people getting off the commuter train at night time at the local train station.

I was on the complete opposite side if the country and can remember everything about that day, I cant imagine what it was like for you guys that were actually close.
I spent the morning sitting on the tarmac at Ontario ( so.cal ) airport, I had one of the first flights out to go visit family in Kansas. They started taking the plane back in to the gate and came over the intercom and said when they docked we had to exit the plane and the airport completely. When we got off the plane there was a chilis and we could see the towers smoking, I called my mom and she picked me up and I spent the next 6 hours listening to everything unfold over the radio in her car while she was at work. Crazy stuff that I'll never forget..☻/

then i distinctly remember seeing the second tower fall from the roof of my school. very surreal.***Not done with my drink till I've crunched all the ice crew***
