just saw in your sig that you're doing the April 14th meet in Richmond.
I almost signed up for that meet, but got talked into one in Concorn NC the same day.

Aww sucks man! The Richmond meet is supposed to always be pretty good. I haven't done it before though. Its 2 weeks after one in Maryland that is only lik 45 min from my house but that one is
A- Raw only
B- At a crossfit gym
Even though I'm lifting raw at Richmond I believe the USAPL should allow both and that xfit is gay so I am boycotting
Yeah, I'm that petty

You just reminded me to search for Strongman contests in my area and I found one in Denver that is doing a cash prize on June 9. Looks like I will be shopping around for atlas stones soon.

Cash bonuses are distracting as hell. Ruined my whole days strategy once just for a shot at one on stones and in the end missed it hard anyway. I'm strongly considering doing the Pro Am 175 in Shreveport just for a shot at the Arnold.
Just got an 18" mold from Slaters. See if anyone around you is willing to rent or lend you theirs.

That's why I plan to go in with no strategy at all and wreck the LW division!
Last years events and best scores for Open LW:
80ft Yolk Walk, 600lbs: 11.85 seconds
Truck Pull (harness) 60ft: 20.24 sec
2" Axle Overhead Clean and Press, 230lbs: 5 reps
80' Farmers Walk, 250lbs per hand: 10.0 sec
280lb Atlas Stone over 55" bar for reps: 9 reps
Seems easy enough, right?

The OHP and stone do especially for LW. The others would be rough for me personally.

Yup, Parker Days. Right now I'm gonna say I'm 75% sure on going. It depends on how much training I'm willing to divert away from the Rocky Mountain State Games in late July.
edit: anyone know if a hook grip is legal in a strongman competition?

nice! I am planning on entering the novice. I have never heard of hook grip being illegal at any strongman contest.

Mommy and baby are healthy and happy right now. She's at 12 weeks now. We got to see some 3d ultrasound yesterday, which was pretty cool.

I thought you were stating the nutrition facts for a 12 week old fetus at first.
