    Squats went decent...I did 455 last week, it actually felt easier this week...and no farts to account for Wasnt really ready to try any more than 455 though. Bench was going good as well, the 1 rep with 315 looked sweet..had a nice pause on the chest. 365 was tough, and the guy lifting with me talked me into going up. 385 was it brothers!! After about 10 minutes, I decided to hit a set of 5.
    cg declines - thanks to checkin out Thads thread, Ive fallen in love with these!!

    I will be moving volume day up one day, so instead of two days of rest, Ill only have one. Start training Monday

    I tuck my elbows tight and keep my hands even with the outside my chest...any closer and it puts a strain on my wrists.

    I can see decline benching being more fun for tricep work than dips or other tricep isolation. I'll definitely give it a go, but right now I'm more concerned with bringing my squat and deadlift numbers up. Bench still seems to be moving without too much extra work and it's still a lot stronger than squat and dead by comparison. Hopefully there will be more of a balance in about a year, then I'll put more effort into benching again. Either way, always good to have the knowledge of what works from stronger people than myself.

    I"m liking the idea of doing decline close grip for tri's. I've been doing close grip flat but its a little too much chest still worked in and yes it puts a strain on my wrist too. I think its caused some tendonitis recently. Always mirin those presses of yours!

    One day I'll be able to put up your numbers! Do you find the decline close grip helps your bench press? I'm trying to get my max up and was told to go witih close grip, but although it may help my bench my wrists (which I wrap anyway) are paying the price.

    Just make sure you keep enough time in there for recovery between your VD and ID since you are doing VD so close after ID. Don't want to get too fatigued before next week!

    Cutting one rest day out was a mistake! Everything felt really REALLY HEAVY today!! The set of 5 deadlifts was really more like 3 reps...and 2 singles. prolly 15 seconds rest between the singles.
    Only "side" work I did was 5x10 hammer curls.
    Dunno when my recovery day will be, I know I work the next 2 days...dunno a schedule after that.

    Did you do 340 on squats for 5 sets of 5 or am I reading that wrong? And if you did 340 does that mean you threw 2 1/2's on each side?

    yeah 340 for the 5 sets, last week I did 335..so only bumped up 5lbs. And yes, I used the 2.5's

    yeah..I almost skipped the deadlifts after squat and bench. But, the guy I was lifting with started deadlifting so I figured I had to at that point! He did 1/4 squats with the same weight I did lol. I was hoping he was gonna catch on when I was going down to the bucket.

    curls did suck, but figured Id hit em since I will be taking at least the next 2 days off.
