It's a fairly quick read but it's interesting, has solid information and covers a wide variety of lifting (Oly, Strongman, Powerlifting, Crossfit).

Is Milo worth the money? Is it a legit training journal that is actually scientific?

PlUSA has too many ads and too many culture pieces for me to want to read it. I don't want to spend money on anything that isn't going to help me be a better lifter

IMO MILO is definitely worth the $$$ !

You can pick up back issues (they're more like softcover books than magazines) which allows you to pick and choose the editions that contain the articles you really want to read. MILO doesn't have any space ads in it. Just a classifieds section (meaning, about 95% of each issue is articles and photographs.)

i totally agree with this. Got a sub of PLUSA last year and was extremely disappointed in it. Unless you're a top 100pler and you want to keep track of your competition, there's a lot of useless info in the magazine.

i got MILO before PLUSA. Milo is pretty expensive but is a high quality magazine with lots of high quality articles (unlike PLUSA, IMO). If i could choose between the two, MILO, without a doubt, is the best. Like someone said, get 1 back issue and decide for yourself. It has good training articles on training general strength stuff (grip, strongman, etc) where PLUSA seems like it mainly involves around articles i would see on t nation or something.

I go to all the sites you mentioned but there is still something nice about a magazine. It seems awkward to be taking a dump with my laptop.

was gonna say the same thing. Although the iPad makes it easier. It's still nice sometimes to flip through a tactile magazine.
