Well no back..I would have figured he would have been fifth at the highest..Branch Warren won't be getting Top 5 at the Olympia.

I have a man-crush on Ben's shoulders. The most aesthetic out of ANYBODY'S imo. I'd love to see him go places!
Anyway, OP, he clearly outclassed Dex. I think 4th was appropriate.Work like a slave. Eat like a king. Sleep like a baby. Look like a GOD.

I honestly don't know how the judging worked at the AC.
The only reason Branch won was because of his lower body mass + conditioning (horrendous arms, back, love handles e.t.c). Ben P has him beat in both of his trademark areas and more. I just don't get it man.☆☆☆Jaden Smith school of experimental philosophy and existentialism crew☆☆☆

people keep bashing the guys back... but i just don't see it. i realize it doesn't have the size necessary, but the area for improvement seems much smaller than people are making it out to be.
by area...
shoulders - some of the best in the ifbb
erectors - amazingly thick
traps - decent size, not underdeveloped by top tier standards at all
lats - this is the one muscle group lacking/requiring more development.
i realize it is the most important one, but i'd rather only have one muscle to bring up rather than several.___________________________________________________________

Well to be more accurate, he gets dominated in certain areas, ie: the traps, lats, width etc.
In terms of his lower body (from the rear), he is on par with the likes of Branch with great hamstring detail / thickness, shredded glutes and of course those insane calves.
However that being said, i cant for the life of me understand how his rear lat spread can be so competitive amongst a top-tier level of guys, and then when he hits the rear double, it just looks so mediocre and dare i say it, under-developed.
He is still making strides, so i'm sure that back will come up a little over the next few years.

It lacks a lot of thickness. When he stands next to wolf especially you can really see it. Even in the rear lat spread where it looks better, it has no depth.
And yeah, branch's back might be a mess, and look mushy, but its still thick. No way Ben should've placed higher than he was (and some people say he should have, lol) with that back. Don't think he should've beaten dex because of that.
But hopefully he could bring that up (and the waist down because damn its large) because he looks awesome until he turns around.

Hardly. His back is very good in the RLS and you forget that the back poses include hams, calves and glutes.
Man what is with the ridiculous exaggerations going on right now?
"Branch looked like sh*t! Evan and Wolf DOMINATED him!"
"Branch was WAY better than Evan and Wolf, it wasn't even close!"
"Branch's right leg was just as good as last year!"
"Branch had NO right leg!"
And now Ben P is dominated by everybody from behind...Bench: 215x12 (17/12/2011) PR since torn RC

Thats because it's true. I'm a fan of ben's physique, but he has no thickness in the back. Zero depth even in the rear lat. Just because he has awesome legs (second best from the rear) doesn't make up for his super shallow back. Legs are only half the physique and back is obviously favored in rear poses.
I never really noticed his weak back, I guess because his upper body in general was weak before. But when I saw him posing I was really impressed by his gains, but once he turned around I thought dexter would have him beat because of how far behind his back is from the rest of his physique. In that respect, despite dexter's smaller size, and less than usual conditioning, I thought he was a much more complete bodybuilder than Ben. But once he improves, and hopefully adds some size to his arms, he'll be a threatening competitor.
