I don't eat anything pre workout anymore. I used to have a small low-GI carb and protein meal, but I don't do that anymore. I have not noticed a difference in how it made me feel when I train. I wouldn't recommend any big meal before training, either.

well first of all , i dont mean RIGHT after...i wait maybe 30 min. i usually only do it when im pressed for time or somethin and i need to. but it just feels good cause it gives that placebo effect...if ur hungry when u work out, u just dont feel motivated

Oh god... listen to this story.
I wanted to lift legs today so I made the drive out to my gym. Its about a 15 minute drive and when I got there it was about 1pm. And the effin thing was closed!!! I was so pi$$ed about it cuz they were closed on the 4th of July. So then I figured I wouldn't wanna make the trip wasted, so I ate at Wendy's.
I got home and decided I'd see if they'd let me lift at a local gym right down the street from me. This gym is straight out of the 1970's, its beat as hell, but has the essentials for my leg workout days (squat, calf raises, stepups, leg extentions, and leg curls).
The guy at the gym said I could lift until he was done, cuz he had a copy of the key and had to lock up when he was done. So I started with squats. I was only doing like 225 in sets of 10, because I didn't have a spotter or weight belt like I usually do. After my 3rd set I ran out the door and started pukin my guts out. Out went my Wendy's :-(. So then I just drank a bunch of water and got on with my lifting.
Lesson learned today... don't eat before squatting!!!!

I ate a tuna sandwich and a shake about 15-30 minutes before chest day today and I had the best chest workout in a LONG TIME. Holy ****, the lifts felt great, the pump felt great, and I was full of energy. But last time I ate before a leg day, I puked TWICE after the workout. So it's ok, depending on what you're working.
