I don't get it. I should be over the moon with my life. At he least content but I am continually depressed. I think its because I have 200k in loans and I ****ing hate biglaw and law in general. I know by the time I get forced out of biglaw in 3-4 yrs ill be mostly done paying off loans. But then I'm 30 and back to square ****ing one. I don't want to do law and I don't know what talents I have that could make more than 50k once I get out of biglaw (business major).
And yes my wife is objectively hot. Like 8-9 range. not gonna entertain responses questioning this or calling .me .flame, its just true. We have a healthy mariage and I don't know what is do witout her. I have no idea how u single dudes come home to an empty apt after the long hrs and not want to killself from depression.
Please give me encouragement. I know I sound like whiny **** bc people would kill to be in my situation. I just can't help but feeling I wasted my life going to law school. I took out all those loans, got the best possible job for the profession, and will leave the profession right after paying those loans back.
Wtf do I need for true happiness

Dude you are seriously like every other whiny b*tch in my law school. It's sooo hard. The market is sooo bad. waaa waaa waaa. Stop crying. You could be fixing toilets everyday or starving in a 3rd world country. Life isn't supposed to be easy, even for people privledged enough to make big money. If you don't like it, man up and do something else. Pick up a hobby. Learn and instrument. Workout more or harder or different. But please....please stop b*tching.

Pics of wife.
Also, you're probably unhappy because of a curse placed upon youMiscimus would be ashamed of all of you for crying over his death. He'd
be hissing at you and probably flying at you to try to gouge out your
eye. If he were here, he'd tell you straight up: "Acquire servants.
Acquire oranges. Acquire women. **** yourself to death."

Like has been mentioned,OP, it could be a chemical issue that you have. You should definately get tested to see if what you need is medication or at least counseling or something. The longer you put it off or try to dismiss it the harder it will get for you. It may stop there, but it could start to affect your relationship with your wife or your ability to even get out of bed in the morning. You deserve happiness just like anybody else so if its a physical issue that can be treated why shouldn't you treat it? So, please, stay safe.

law is a ****ty business, I'm sorry. I make 50k less than you but have intellectually challenging job I like (software engineer) and coworkers who are really great. And I work 35-50 hours a week vs being a slave like my consultant/lawyer buddies. So I have a startup in my spare time and it's incredible suffering, and I'm miserable a lot of the time because it's all my spare time, but the product we do is awesome, and the problems are cool.
So maybe you need to GTFO and find a small niche legal practice you like, or go start your own business or something. Life is too short to do something you hate.

What an original question. It must be pretty tough for you to be happy I mean ONLY 160k a year while being young with a hot wife, I bet people dying of starvation surrounded by war and poverty would just HATE being you. Wow, you are a *******, man the fukk up and realize that maybe JUST maybe you don't have it so bad you whiny little bitch.

1)Pay off debt
2)Save up so that you can live comfortably and support a family (shouldn't be hard with 160k a year)
3)Forget and leave profession.
4)Get a easy job and pick up some hobbies.
5)Live happily with family and meaning in your life.
Otherwise go get some professional help, it may be a biological cause.

ask yourself what makes you happy.
Try to do those types of things...whether its hanging with family or washing your car....whatever works brah.....always remember, these are our golden ****ing years and we cant waste them with negativity and regretsI lifted. I lifted until my muscles burned and my veins pumped battery acid. Then I lifted some more
