It sounds like you pulled a muscles, tendon, or both which could have left a bit of scar tissue depending on how bad it was. For now I would start off building up some back muscles where the injury accord by doing very light lifting for your lower back. The worst thing you could do at this point is not doing any kind of nursing for your lower back whatsoever. Proper diet and cardio will further expedite optimum muscle recovery. One more thing EnglandLifter, do not get discouraged if you continue to feel slight discomfort for up to 6 months because those kinds of injuries take time to heal depending on the person. I hope this helps out a little.

P.S.- Have somebody give you some deep massages as this helps remove unwanted scar tissue from the injured area.

That's awesome, I'm so glad your pain is gone as I know how frustrating it can be. I am glad you can do deadlift again because this workout is one of the best!

Thanks and yea back pain is the worst because it stopped me from doing any other excersise to got to admit the week of was nice though, and definetly if i had to stop deadlifting then id just give up weights all together its the only excersise were i'm truly testing my strength, annoys me when everyone always ask how much i can bench but never how much i can deadlift
