    Steak question?

    My calorie counter app has a 300 calories difference between in my 17 ouch ribeye i bbq on the grill w/no oil.

    Calories are an estimate.... We're kidding ourselves if we think we can eat normal food and count accurately. Best we can hope to do is estimate and be consistent. Split the two and sleep well.
    A diet isn't punishment. A diet is a way to reward your body with the wholesome, nutritious food that it needs. Your body composition is a direct reflection of what you put in your mouth.

    Have you double-checked that they both state "RAW" weight? Often a difference that big is due to one being weighed raw and the higher one being the cooked weight, or the amount of visible fat left on (1/4inch vs all fat trimmed off etc)

    Both are most likely wrong and the actual calorie count is probably higher in both cases.

    Eating by number (calories) is all well and good but the only thing that really matters is if bodyweight or body fat is decreasing, and you don't need calorie counts to determine that.
