srs, my wife just went back to work. she has been a stay at home mom for the past 2 yrs
I am going to have her quit her job again... srs.. so much more gets done around the house... a stay ay home wife/mom does all the house duties.. cooks, cleans, laundry, drs/dentist appts, brings me lunch on the job, etc.. send "nice pics" to me...
listen up brahs, if and when you guys get married. have your wife stay at home with the kids. its better than shipping your kids off to daycare, and paying someone else to raise your children.. Also, **** gets done that is needed around the house...
our great grand parents had their stuff together in regards to how a family should work.
man= bread winner
woman= tend to kids/house/etc
its hard in this society to think that is achievable, we have been programmed to think we need 2 incomes... srs, live below your means, and have your wives stay home...
feels good to know i am supporting my family, like a man should srsHAPPILY MARRIED/LOVE MY WIFE CREW CHECKING IN..come at me, misc virgin, forever alone, woman haters.. enjoy the lonely life..
Alpha Beard Crew forever...
Should be clean shaven, but wife won't let me crew

That's great and all, but I am specifically talking about those who continue to be stay at home moms after the kids have started school. And if the man is the bread winner, why did your wife go back to work? I will also assume that your house is currently a mess because your wife is no longer a stay at home mom.

Lets be real, the household chores wont last the entire day. I imagine a half-assed attempt at washing and cleaning, followed by several hours sat on her ass watching daytime television.
We have enslaved the rest of the animal creation, and have treated our distant cousins in fur and feathers so badly that beyond doubt, if they were able to formulate a religion, they would depict the Devil in human form.

financial reasons... we now see the benefit of having her home.. we are adjusting our life to make sure she doesn't have to have a 9-5 job.. its gonna take a bit to go back to it though...
The house work still gets done, but it takes time away from our children now...
she now gets home @5:15, lets say it takes 2 hrs a day for house work, she only has 45 minutes of quality time with the kids.. as apposed to having the house work done during the day, and can tend to/spend time with the kids
as far as the mom going back to work after the kids are in school. I would say its best to get a job with mothers hours (9-1) ..
there is no doubt in my mind, my children have excelled in many areas because my wife stayed home with them.. do you have children? if/when you do you will realize the benefits... no one can take care of your children they way a parent can.. we were always finding things wrong/ babysitter not doing things exactly how we wanted, etc.. (btw, not hating, just talking)HAPPILY MARRIED/LOVE MY WIFE CREW CHECKING IN..come at me, misc virgin, forever alone, woman haters.. enjoy the lonely life..

Ehh, it can if they do it right. This is what my mom did when I was growing up.
-Wake up and cook breakfast/fix lunch & see me and my dad fed.
-Clean kitchen/wash dishes dirtied for breakfast
-Go grocery/household shopping.
-Pay bills/run other household errands.
-Do laundry
-Clean the house/mop and dust.
-Cook supper/fix lunches for next day.
-Bake cookies/brownie/cake/cupcake. (any one of these)
-Serve food for us.
-Clean kitchen/wash dishes.
Assuming each of these tasks takes about an hour, that would be about a 9 hour day. Of course not EVERY one of these tasks are done every day, but at the same time some of these tasks take A LOT longer then an hour to complete.
If they do it right, being a 'stay at home mom' can be a full time job. Its really not hard for them to log 8-12 hours a day 5 days a week. If you are getting your house cleaned spotless everyday/everything is always neat. All your bills/errands are ran, and 3 different (full course) meals every single day, etc. If they do it right, the ONLY thing you have to worry about is going to work/earning enough money to pay the bills/live. All other household chores/tasks are taken care of for you.
I know a lot of people who had a stay at home wife, and a lot who had working wives. In EVERY case the people with a stay at home wife lived a lot better off in terms of comfort. If your wife is bound and determined to work, and you want the same quality of life, you are going to have to hire a full time babysitter/daycare, a cook, and a maid. By the time you hire all of these any extra money your wife would bring in is pissed away. Awhile back my mom estimated that if she charged by the hour for all the household work she did, she'd be making around 30-35K a year.
Granted, if you get a lazy chick and she doesn't cook 3 meals a day and clean the house every day, then you are getting shafted and she is freeloading.
