Not purposely but between my cutting cals and protein/fat intake, I'm only going to be getting ~30g carb/day...possibly less. If I miss low on my cals, it's going to be coming out of carbs.
edit - Nevermind...just remembered that keto is 65% of cals from fat, right? Can't remember. Brain isn't working today.S&P

You have to halt the entire diet for 6 months...wait, and then try again.
seriously...I wouldn't worry about 1 or 2 nights of a weekend if you break the fast while drinking...but don't make it a habit...i.e; do it like once a month, or start your fast when your last drink is consumed. Only downside is taht can really eff with your schedule.

quick question--sorry if this has been covered--i don't have time to read through 66 pages of this forum from work.
given my work schedule / routine, fasted training is only an option on weekend days. Would appreciate some feedback on whether or not I am "doing it right":
around 7:30am - cup of coffee
supplement w/ L-Carnitine at around 10:30 - 11:00am.
first meal @ noon - usually something pretty well balanced i.e. pasta with spinach & chicken, or chicken breast and vegetables as the main entree with a banana, orange, some baby carrots, mixed nuts and a fiber bar - usually sip a cup of unsweetened green tea with this meal.
workout @ around 4:30pm - Gethin 12 week trainer. Consume a protein shake immediately after weight training (before cardio) which also includes glutamine.
usually eat a small snack i.e. a banana, or handful of trailmix, couple scoops of peanut butter on a a spoon, etc. while I am prepping dinner.
Dinner @ around 7:00 - 7:30 - usually 2 chicken breasts or 2 tilapia fillets, with a bag of steamed vegetables and a salad (baby spinach, strawberries, rasberry vinegarette, pecans), or a bertolli's pasta dish with a salad--usually have v8 fruit jiuce and/or a single beer with dinner.
Only water after 8pm -- drink about 100oz. of water (large arrowhead container) throughout the day, not including additional liquids like juice, tea, coffee, milk w/ protein shakes, etc.
the aforementioned is M-F. on weekends I workout at around 10am, consume my shake immediately post lifting, and have lunch at noon....
Truthfully, not sure what may daily caloric intake is--I'd wager around 3000'ish. Not sure if this is enough, or too much for my goals, or if I need to focus more on macros, etc. Would appreciate any thoughts from people who have it dialed in--come at me brah's.

I've been doing the fasting diet(s) since January of 2011. In the last month, I've taken to randomly binging on junk food 1-3 times a week. Just last night I had my normal feast (I follow the Warrior Diet), and then my fiancee wanted to go out to eat - so I had a couple of tacos, some of her quesadillas and about half an order of chips/salsa. I then followed that up with a waffle cone from Baskin Robbins and two scoops of Reese's PB Cup ice cream. This morning I look basically the same.
This past Saturday, on top of my normal feast; I had four bowls of cereal, air-popped popcorn, waffles and chips. Then we went to Baskin Robbins, and then I followed that up with some chicken from KFC.
My weight was back to where it was pre-gorging by Monday.Photo Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=140023453 (with pics of me in my underwear!!!)

In my opinion, do this.
I assume you go to bed late based on those times. Eat a normal meal at 4pm. If you have anything before 9:15 for your workout, make it 1/2 scoop of protein or BCAA's...but also since you ate at 4pm, you might not need anything. Up to you whether you want to eat between 4 and 9:15..but if you want fasted training, at least you could give yourself the 4-5 hour difference for fasting.
workout like normal, then eat the rest of your calories post workout. Lets assume that is 11pm. You can eat till 12pm. Fast from 12pm till 4pm. Repeat.
Don't worry about always working out when fasted...especially for that friday.

I was getting too weak and decided to lean bulk to get bigger for the beach. I started eating alot more clean foods, and cut my cardio from 6x a week to 2x a week. Its been 2 weeks, and now Im losing fat that stubborn fat that I couldnt lose before. Im thinking I just tricked my body and this wont last, but I like losing this fat.

interesting.
I've not been eating super clean...mix of good and bad, but a lean bulk is basically what I have been doing for the last several months. My weight has dropped to 165 (from around 172 about 5 months ago)...but for the last 3 weeks the weight has been stuck at the 165 mark while on LG IF. What is nice is though the weight hasn't dropped, I think I am seeing more ab definition, so a tradeoff is happening more muscle, less fat. I think I need to lower my calories a touch though. I don't do cardio right now, unless you count jumping rope or punching bag. But my goal is to get down to 10% bf by summer. I am near 12% I personally think.
what did you jump your calorie intake up to?

I'm in on IF crew as well. Been One week so far. Some preliminary observations:
1. On Day one I was ready to murder people at the end of my fast
2. This is SOOOOO easy compared to how I normally cut. My calorie and carb intake is basically the same though, only really altered meal timing.
3. I have a hard time getting the cals in sometimes. I'm an ecto and my maintenance cals are close to 4K. Eating 3300 clean cals in under 6 hours is a bit of a challenge.
4. Results? Don't really know yet. Only been a week so way too early to tell. I'll see in another 2-3 weeks.Aesthetic Glutes Crew

I personally think that its the change that does it. I was stalled out, doing everything right, but wasnt losing anymore fat and felt like crap all the time. Upping my cals allowed me to lift heavier and more intense which switched things up in my body. ( I upped my cal about 500 a day) I know this wont last so Im going to milk it for all I can then reduce cals and up cardio again when gains stop.

Yea, the only time I have the opportunity to workout fasted is the weekend. I am not a morning workout person at all, so weekdays I just do it after work. and by that time, I've already had my 1st meal and sometimes a snack. I then take a pre-workout supp 30 min prior to working out, and down most of my calories after it.

What's the difference between fasting later in the day and overnight, than overnight and in the morning. Much rather eat breakfast, lunch, etc, and not eat the rest of the day, compared to the opposite.
