TBH, i'm posting this just to stoke a fire and show there are loads of flimsy studies (peer reviewed or not) that can be used to back up any point of view.

Statistically you are less likely to succeed with Leangains

TBH I have never read any of the studies. I do IF because I like eating big meals. Not because I believe there are benefits or anything of that sort. I sort of feel like if anything, it hinders my concentration at school. I still love doing it since my hunger is curbed til 2-3.
@determined studies interest interest me but don't convince me. experimentation convinces me

The way I read it, Martin often mentions studies in an off-the-cuff way when they might support his point of view. I don't read into it that he considers them proof absolute. This is true (for example) of his views on coffee causing all kinds of positive health benefits. He just likes coffee and is just shooting the breeze about it. I don't think he's that serious and wouldn't go recommending putting coffee in the water supply or anything like that.
As ever, it's always open to interpretation by his readers who can easily read too much significance into parts of what he says.

I love breakfast, and eating 3 meals a day plus snacks. Come at me haters.
Nah, but to each his own. I prefer variety and small meals instead of large meals of the same foods. Fits my lifestyle though. And no tupperware was carried around.
IF just helps people eat bigger meals while maintaining a deficit, but I don't think it has anything special over other methods of dieting.

It finds that people who manage to keep weight off eat breakfast, weigh themselves once a week, watch less than 10 hours of television a week and exercise about an hour a day. If you do all of those things as well as cut your calorie intake, you won't need to measure if your diet is working or not. You'll know that it is.

Dat dat dat!
Agree...a lot LG followers are cycling macros and CHO like madness, undereating like -30 or 40% from their maintenance off days, eating 20g CHO, thinking that the body turns from a muscle building state to a fat burning
A lot do Paleo, because it is magic!!!
There are a LOT just wanting to get 5% bf, but they do not have any muscle under it...it keep claiming that they abs are not showing, or something like that
16 Old year boys eating 1600kcal Off days...trolololo
I was having a discussion at LG page, because a guy said that you can not get ripped without leangains, dafuq?
it is pretty sad...I was talking with someone and we came to a new logo for Leangains: ''Leangains, developing eating disorders since 2007''
Pretty sad!*Hollywood's rabid cage crew*
