At the Gates - new album is pretty great, or you can go with the classic: Slaughter of the Soul
The Acacia Strain - prob one of the better deathcore bands. Good for lifting.

What is your opinion of the new Periphery?

Only song I liked is MK Ultra, the one you posted. Probably because it's a Bulb riff originally.

I actually really like both albums. When I listened to the singles I was like "meh", but now that I've listened to the full albums I can't stop listening to them. The vocals are iffy in a couple of spots, but for the most part I think they fit the music. The overall production is fantastic too - the albums sound amazing through my headphones.

This is one of my favorites by far. Dat melody.

Not sure if this has been posted already, but the Spotify playlist 'Metal Gym Hours' is actually pretty good. A lot of the stuff is lighter than what I usually listen to, but it still works and flows really well as a good workout soundtrack

Not strictly folk metal, but Kveletertak are awesome.

Enslaved is 10/10 band. Listening to their entire discography, everything is mind blowing. They should be more well known. It's hard to find full albums on youtube. Download their entire discography and then buy your favorite album by them.

We had journalism (wrote for the school newspaper) class together.
He graduated in my brothers class. My brother and him were sort of friends.
I have no idea if he even remembers me, but I think it's cool that he's on the radio.

So I just started listening to Obituary for the first time and I swear if no one told me who made "Cause of Death" or "Slowly We Rot", I would say it was early Death (Leprosy), even though I know every Death song like the back of my hand.

I swear to god if you never heard of Death or Obituary before and was presented with Cause of Death, Slowly We Rot, Leprosy and Spiritual Healing you would say they were all from the same band. I don't know how, but the vocalist from Obituary sounds EXACTLY like Chuck does on Leprosy. My mind is fully blown right now.



I should note that I find this incredible because Leprosy is one of my favorite albums and to find a couple albums which sound extremely similar is phucking awesome, it's like I get to listen to new Death.
