Have you guys ever tried Jefferson Squats? Vol. Kai Lionel Beyeke Greene

Kai does them in various training bits

    5:03

and I just noticed Lionel does them too

    at 5:30

I started doing them after I saw Kai do them and they burn like no other! I had to start with like 10 pounds on each side haha.

Has anyone else incorporated them into their workout?

i've done them in the past, but not so much anymore. not a bad exercise, just a bit awkward feeling until you get used to it

I do them regularly, since due to shoulder problems I have a hard time holding a barbell behind my neck.

alternate front foot each set IMO.

also it's very similar to a split squat. it's a good secondary exercise to do after your main squat.
i like it because unlike leg press you don't have to load of tons and tons of weight

Probably the best ham/glute exercise you can do. Way better then back squats. It's my personal favorite exercise for the glutes.

I don't think it can top barbell hip thrusts for glutes.

I've been doing them since I saw Kai do them in his training series video. They definitely fry my glutes/hams, I like the fact that you don't need to load up a lot of weight to really feel this exercise.

Check out my youtube channel! Feel free to ask questions, and I'll make video responses as in depth and to my knowledge as I can. I don't spread bro science, my information will be similiar to Ian Mccarthy/Layne/Ogus/Eric helms in the sense that I will base my accusations of of science/studies. Also some personal experience, but I won't impose that onto you. But if you ask, I'll answer :)
