Many people mistake powerlifters diet with eating absolute crap. I eat alot but I make sure its balanced and it all comes from non processed foods. I usually have 3 eggs and some toast for breakfast. Then for lunch I mostly eat stirfry veggies with some form of meat. I live with my parents after my divorce so I eat a lot of rice and filipino food. I tend to stay away from things like chocolate and junk foods.

I usually eat an omelet for breakfast
2 whole eggs
1 egg white
hashbrowns
FF cheddar cheese
hot sauce
if im in a rush its a protein shake and 3-4 frozen pancakes from walmart. It surprises me how many people refuse to buy equipment from Elitefts because its too expensive but they will buy equipment from their competitors, then continue to go on EFS website to educate themselves for FREE

You're from the south, you should know that a Bojangles cajun filet biscuit kicks Chik Fil A spicy chicken biscuits in the nutsack. I used to think Chik Fil A was the greatest thing on the planet for breakfast until that fateful day I walked into a Bojangles for breakfast.

In my opinion, a powerlifter's breakfast shouldn't be any different than a bodybuilder's off season breakfast.
A typical breakfast for me, when trying to add lean mass/strength for PL'ing is ..
4 eggs w/ cheese (cooked w/ extra virgin olive oil)
2 sausage patties (not always)
1c oats w/ milk
1 piece of fruit (usually banana or blueberries in the oats)Best Meet Lifts:

This thread is now full of blasphemy. The cajun filet biscuit is the most delicious breakfast item in existence. I could eat one every day for the rest of my life. I like Chick Fil A nuggets/strips better, but nothing is even in the same ball park as a nice delicious cajun filet biscuit from Bojangles.

There is an inverse relationship between insulin and adrenaline concentration in the blood, when ghrelin (a hunger stimulating hormone) is high so are pulsitile releases of growth hormone, you're more sensitive to caffiene on an empty stomach, and about a billion other reasons.
The first few weeks of training on an empty stomach suck but once you get used to it, you smash weights like a f-ucking maniac.
