For me, I find dairy to give me less definition when I'm losing fat on keto even when the macros are under maintenance...Don't know why?
What is in dairy that may cause this?

Could just be dairy causes you some bloat (does for some) or, depending on what the actual item is, some dairy (cottage cheese) has higher sodium.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.

I had been eating a lot of cheese when I started keto, and stopped eating it about two weeks ago when I realized that may be what has been preventing me from losing weight. (Apparently, dairy protein spikes insulin.) I'm not sure if I've lost any yet since I haven't stepped on a scale since, but my acne that I got when I started keto has since cleared up pretty nicely. I still eat low-protein dairy products, like half and half in my coffee, and sour cream with my chicken, and I am fine.
Aside from skin problems, I'm sure it's the insulinogenic quality of the dairy protein that is having an effect on you.Make Fihe Not Fat Again.
