about 2 months ago i was at work, lifting something fairly heavy in a reverse curl sorta motion. when i lifted the object, i felt a slight pulling sensation in my bicep, there was no immediate pain, and no delayed pain for that matter, there was also no sign of bruising, or discolouration, i could flex the bicep with no pain and i could still work out with no noticable reduction in strenght
the only issue is that the shape of the muscle has changed, it is now shorter on the outter head, near the forearm, and is not as circular as it once was.( imo, looks way ****ter then it was. a shadow of its former self)
ive been to three specialists. a chiropractor, a doctor, and a physio
the chiropractor said something along the lines of. part of your muscle has collapsed, and if i work it out/ rehabilitate it with concentration curls, he was fairly certain it would rebuild to its former shape/ fullness in roughly a month or so after i started the rehabilition
the doctor said something similar. he said the area in question has been damaged, in the sense that it has thinned out, giving it a caving in/ collapsed look, and that if i keep working it out , it will 100% rebuild itself to its former self. he gave no deadline on when this could happen in, and said it just depends on how much and how effectively i rehab it
the phyiso however said something different, he said he was fairly certain i have slightly torn the outter head, and there was like no chance at all of it rebuilding to the way it was , and how it is now , is just my insertion forever..
so these slightly differing answers have got me not kwowing wat to think , have any of you heard of this collapsing muscle stuff ? and do u think its at all possible it will ever go back to the way it was ?
the not knowing , really is **** .

When it comes to things purely medical, I would go with the opinion of a doctor/chiro. This isn't a 'are squats bad for knees question' that a doctor really has no business knowing, he just has the experience of poor formed squatters coming in complaining. This is an actual 'what happened to my body' question.
I don't know much about it, but this is my opinion. Maybe someone more experienced can chime in. However, no point in NOT working it, so just continue to work hard.
