Useless? No. Unnecessary? Well that depends on your training program. In many instances, post workout carbs are unnecessary. If you want carbs because you need to get the calories in or whatever, dextrose can be equivalently replaced with pretty much any carb source of your liking like pasta or cereal.

I am no expert but it is very usefull! Dextrose is just a simple sugar fast acting carb, not a bad sugar. Take it with your post workout shake and it will help instantly cause an insulin spike whicj will help your muscles soak up nutrients, grow and repair etc. If you were on a contest cut i'm sure you prob wouldnt use it but other then that it is very cheap and a great product to take post workout and i even take it some mornings.
Also i thought i read someone said you dont need post workout carbs.. thats crazy!!! You def need them. Hope this helpsBench - 355lbs for 10 reps

I prefer waxy maize, and just use it intra w/o. The whole using "fast carbs" post is BS.

Unless you're a triathlete or you have another workout session in the same day, you don't have to worry about carbs or replenishing your glycogen ASAP.

25g whey vs 25g whey + 50g carbs = the same muscle protein synthesis PWO
One workout will also not deplete your glycogen.

Science articles, pro's, trainers, health and fitness articles and meal plans all suggest carbs post and fast acting carbs. Every workout plan for mass and size says you need more carbs then protein even, so why is this sounds so wrong to You guys??? Tryin to help, I seriously urge you to do this and see if you don't get better results.

Honestly I'll have to learn how to link stuff first lol new to this and on my phone now. I really do like having a debate about this cause I like to learn as much as I can from all different views and then compile all the information from all sides ya know, I'm very open. So I'll try to see howyou link something then I will. But for now, I really urge you to switch up what you do now, and try adding some post workout carbs and see if it doesn't help you. Mine is two scoop's protein so 50 grams about, with one scoop glutamine bout 5 grams or more, 4 table spoons dextrose ( that's now brand) It's about 50 grams, and a half cup of oatmeal.
