Hi guys,
as mentioned in my previous thread i got the opportunity to train legs with Roelly Winklaar. I just got home and i'm eating but i'll try to make some sense out of the workout and experience.
first of all i'd like to thank Sibil and Roelly for giving me an opportunity like this, i'm just a small fish from a country where bodybuilding is nearly dead. would also like to thank the ifbb brah's and everyone else in this section for the support and interest they've shown! appreciate it alot!
i never kept a journal/diary of any sorts so i'll just try to tell you how my day went, cut me some slack
i had to wake up early to get a breakfast in and take a small nap before i left for holland (1.5 hour drive). ate my preworkout meal in a truckstop. and then i managed to end up in the wrong gym (in my excitement i forgot to doublecheck the adress) barely made it in time right before roelly arrived. first impression was that he meant business, he came to train and not to talk. i do understand why they call Sibil "grandma", she's just friendly as hell, really likeable. Roelly wasn't at his full blown offseason weight but still pretty impressive, his arms were absurd... like someone stapled steaks on his triceps and his forearms were just ridiculous. from what i could tell from his legs through his pants they were massive and thick as hell. but what impressed me the most is how he gets away with his mass... his waist really is in check and he has an awesome physique. kinda demotivational to try and become a pro cause i'll never ever be able to look half as good, even with the same amount of mass
workout went like this:
leg extensions 8 reps, add 10kg, repeat, repeat
squats
hack squats with a weird stance (you'll see in the vids/pics) never done this version
one legged squats while holding plates (this one ****ed me straight up, never did it, no balance, you'll see me collapse in the vid)
lying leg curl
seated leg curl
standing leg curl in the extension machine (never done this version either, didn't feel to comfortable with it)
2 exercises for calves
almost everything was filmed and there was a photographer present so i'll update the thread when the vids/pics come out
i didn't puke but i sure collapsed alot, when roelly says "3 more", you bloody give him 3 more. i also appologised to him midway workout for slowing the tempo down, i think he appreciated the gesture cause he was a lot more relaxed after that.
after the workout i posed with sibil (some pics were taken) she said i need more chest/hamstrings. my stubborn muscle groups sadly. had a bit of smalltalk with sibil roelly about his jaw/upcoming competitions etc etc afterwards. there was also an IFBB figure pro from canada in the gym, she just got her pro card, name was Carry... (forgot her last name) she was really friendly aswell, talking about the IFBB judging etc.
i probably forgot some stuff so you guys can ask anything you want. i'll post the vids/pics they took when i get them.
here are the pics i took for myself:

A variety of different foot positions, superstack sets (where you add weight), put something in my mouth to bite on cause me and roelly have the same issue where the jaw muscles inflammate. He uses a toothpick.
Didn't really interrogate her about diet etc, already felt fortunate enough for even being there and train with them.
