So i hit my first weight loss goal and am going to treat myself to wings and a couple beers tonight. Still going to try and hit my maintenence number for the day though, so i'm trying to calculate the calories in my meal.
Wife and I are going to a restaurant called Roosters, its only here in Ohio I think but is pretty much Hooters as far as the menu is concerned. They unfortunately do not have nutritional information, so i have to scoure the web for the answers.
What i'm getting back are two wildy different numbers for 10 wings, with medium wing sauce.
Site A: 10 wings, 1700 cals, 120 fat, 50 carbs, 98 protein
Site B: 10 wings, 870 cals, 60 fat, 20 carbs, 52 protein
Honestly, both sound wrong to me as i would come up with around 1200 calories maybe. A generic chicken wing will run between 60 and 80 calories i believe. Then its breaded, with sauce added on. The sauce alone, runs probably between 50-80 calories per ounce and who knows how much they put on them. So maybe 1 ounce per 3 wings maybe?
Anyone out there have a generic formula for doing wings? I know since its my weekly cheat meal, i just need to not worry about it, but i still want to be accountable. I also wouldnt mind trying to include them possibly in my regular diet.
Any thoughts out there?
