How many calories in a 10 piece order of Chicken Wings from Hooters/Roosters?

So i hit my first weight loss goal and am going to treat myself to wings and a couple beers tonight. Still going to try and hit my maintenence number for the day though, so i'm trying to calculate the calories in my meal.

Wife and I are going to a restaurant called Roosters, its only here in Ohio I think but is pretty much Hooters as far as the menu is concerned. They unfortunately do not have nutritional information, so i have to scoure the web for the answers.

What i'm getting back are two wildy different numbers for 10 wings, with medium wing sauce.

    Site A: 10 wings, 1700 cals, 120 fat, 50 carbs, 98 protein
    Site B: 10 wings, 870 cals, 60 fat, 20 carbs, 52 protein

Honestly, both sound wrong to me as i would come up with around 1200 calories maybe. A generic chicken wing will run between 60 and 80 calories i believe. Then its breaded, with sauce added on. The sauce alone, runs probably between 50-80 calories per ounce and who knows how much they put on them. So maybe 1 ounce per 3 wings maybe?

Anyone out there have a generic formula for doing wings? I know since its my weekly cheat meal, i just need to not worry about it, but i still want to be accountable. I also wouldnt mind trying to include them possibly in my regular diet.

    Any thoughts out there?

Hooters (as all restaurants with 20 or more chain stores ***) are legally obligated to provide this info to you... Just ask them

What I can find is just 2tbs of only their medium sauce is 120 calories

not all restaurants are required to do that.

in anycase, OP there are better sites then this for "what is the calories for X".... notice theres not a ton of these threads here.
try myfitnesspal for keeping track of that, or google it...

as for your actual question, I dont eat breaded wings, but my regular wings I track at about 80 cals per wing... but thats unbreaded.

Take an average. It's going to be closer to Site B that you cite most likely. I am assuming you are eating wings and not "boneless". I'd imagine boneless wings would have signifantly higher calorie content. Buffalo Wild Wings has nutrition info online, and since I have eaten at Rooster's - I can't imagine the calorie content would be different enough to sink your diet (especially since it's your cheat day).

Edit: Also, the sauce is a huge factor. Get it on the side so you can control the amount.

    Reps all around, thanks guys.

I'm thinking of eating 10 and just calling it 140 calories in each wing. That should help account for inaccuracies and may even run high.

There is simply no way, that one of those wings has 170 calories as myfitnesspal suggests. At least i really can't imagine there is.

Thanks everybody for their input, i may just order them naked anyways and really keep things in line (no breading)

its possible if you have a oil soaked breaded wing with a "sweeter" sauce that contains corn syrup or sugar as its primary ingredient..
on the other hand, you could have a dried, non-breaded wing with a zero calorie hot sauce.. (common one would be vinegar and cayenne pepper)

theres a very wide range here.
