Apple Cider Vinegar; How much and how often?

Ok so I have half a jug of ACV left and want to take it daily but don't know how much to drink and how often throughout the day to drink it. I've been having one tbsp a day mixed with water but feel like I should be taking in more.

I'm 6'5" around 260 right now and currently cutting.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

If you like apple cider vinegar on, for example, salads, then use it as part of a dressing when you're in the mood. As to how much, that would depend on the amount you prefer based on taste. And I can't imagine why you'd consider drinking it.

I've read about its numerous health benefits, including most importantly it's effect on skin complexion which I struggle with.

Sorry to hear about your bad skin, but can you please provide any links or citations to the material you have read on the topic. I am specifically interested in the dosing they recommend.

I've read it mostly on these forums and no I don't plan to use it topically.

I'm actually surprised at the reaction I've gotten. It seems foreign to everyone that drinking apple cider is beneficial. I read on WebMD that 2 teaspoons a day is a common dosage mixed with water, maybe I'll just do that.

"Given the scientific implausability behind most of vinegar’s claims, not surprisingly, there is no scientific evidence that it has any medicinal properties. The FDA has even issued warning letters to nutraceutical companies selling apple cider vinegar products for making unsupportable claims that it reduces cholesterol levels or hardening of the arteries; lowers risks for heart disease, heart attacks or strokes; or is effective for conditions ranging from obesity to arthritis. Even the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), a division of the National Institutes of Health specifically tasked to investigate natural or unconventional modalities, has found no studies to support vinegar. "

"M.D. Anderson, according to Natural Standard Monograph (2007), also warns that theoretically, long-term use could diminish bone mineral density and interact with and increase the risk of toxicity of cardiac glycoside prescriptions, such as digoxin; and potentiate the potassium-lowering effects of insulin, laxatives and diuretics, such as Lasix. "

    http://www.everydayhealth.com/diet-n...egar-myth.aspx

"Proponents of the health benefits of apple cider vinegar cite testimonials from people who believe that drinking apple cider vinegar has helped them, but is there any evidence to back up these claims?

Alexa Schmitt, a clinical dietitian at Massachusetts General Hospital, says, "No." While a few studies have been conducted on the possible health benefits of apple cider vinegar, the number of people in these studies is typically small, and the evidence is not yet convincing. "We have to look at the science," says Schmitt. "One or two small studies is not enough to prove a benefit." "

I personally don't take ACV unless I'm having gastrointestinal issues. And even then, I only take it for a few days in a row (maybe about once a month). It doesn't help everyone, and can actually hurt some. So be careful about drinking the stuff straight.

On the times I do drink it instead of using it in a dressing, I'll have a shot glass worths and follow it with a bit of warm water. The vinegar is not good for the teeth and if you suffer from eso****us damage, it might burn on the way down. Also, there is some reading I've seen where it talked about it changing the acidity of your stomach unfavorably if taking long term.

Finally, take all the things about ACV with a grain of salt. It isn't a miracle cure, nor will it really help any goals. It just occasionally helps some people with digestive issues. Or it could just be all in my head, but who knows...I feel better from it, so why not?
Short term Goal: To cut back before bulking like a demon.
Mid term Goal: To find myself.
Long term Goal: To get what's mine.

67 lbs in 9 years and still counting... (started at 100lbs)

It's a hater's job to hate. So let them hate...

I've been drinking at least 2 tbsp of ACV in a cup of water along with 1tbsp of local honey since I was a child. I've gotten the flu once in my entire life and I am never sick, not even the sniffles. I'm just shy of 40 yrs old and I still get mistaken for a man in his mid 20's. All I can say is that I've done it for a lifetime and have never known ill health, pains or anything of the like. Take it for whatever it's worth. Just keep in mind that it's a preventative measure, not a wonder tonic.

That's remarkable; but based on your pic, your head is way too big for your body. Is that a result of taking ACV and honey all those years?
