Thanks
I originally wanted to just cut to 165, but I got there and said ew nope, I need to go lower.
Pretty simple really, I ate ~180g protein, got my EFA's in, kept calories around 1,900 - 2,100 and stayed consistent.
I went from first picture to the second from like Jan -> July/Aug or something so I lost it pretty fast. I wanted to get cutting over with since I was sick and tired of being a fatty.
If I could go back I'd have hopped on a more strength oriented routine, much, much earlier.Sheiko? My journey to 1,500+ @ 165

Yes, there were days where I'd greatly go over 2,100, but it was unplanned. I could have just been lucky with my timing even though I doubt that made more than .05% of a difference.
I was running Layne's older version (or skeleton, rather) of PHAT back then while I should have been doing madcows/SS/something. My strength levels didn't optimally go up.
I also wish I increased my calories a little sooner. I had a fat kid mentality so it was hard on me to see the scale go up, and that fear kept me from making initial gains.
Oh well, learned my lessonSheiko? My journey to 1,500+ @ 165

A lot of people IRL don't even know I was fat before & I always enjoy meeting old friends. I have a relatively large bone frame but I suppose small joints, I don't know. I just work with what I have lol.
IIRC Bench: ~250
Squat: ~295 (arguable, since my depth was terrible)
DL: 415
? It's been so long. I trained for a while and increased those at around the same weight but it got to a point where I needed/wanted to put on weight. (275/315/450)
This I why I wish I hopped on a strength routine instead of dilly-dallying because I've made such huge strides even just in the last 6 - 8 months. (from doing sheiko/smolov)Sheiko? My journey to 1,500+ @ 165

I've had some old highschool acquaintances come in to work and not recognize me, usually kind of funny. Since, just going to be completely honest here, 75% of the people from HS that I know have put on ~15+ lbs.
It was kind of cool having a 'second chance' if you want to call it that. Not that any of my real friends treated me ANY differently.
You should, pretty easily. I basically cut down to that picture by only doing BW exercises and using ~300 lbs of weights.
I only ever bench pressed when I was fat and I thought I was strong being able to do 250, the first day I weighed myself at 150, I max'd out at 250.Sheiko? My journey to 1,500+ @ 165

Yeah, I always thought I'd just be this fat-ass and I'd never have abs or be fit. That picture was at the absolute PEAK of my heaviest, literally that next week I started to educate myself on here.
I carry all/most of my stretch marks in the armpit area :P but whatever, it reminds me of where I came from.Sheiko? My journey to 1,500+ @ 165

I Must find my pics. I have numbers all over the place. I'll post numbers now and do my best to find pics. I just don't wanna forget :
Played golf in high school: from 9th to the middle of senior year I was 125-130 lbs at 5'10-5'11. Started lifting
One yr later freshman college: first bulk attempt went to 217 lbs. looked like a diff person, really chubby for the first time in life. Lol
Another yr later sophomore college: same 217 little less BF
Few months later. 180-190
Like 6 months later( nov or dec 2009) 165 7% BF. felt really lanky as I have long legs and never concentrated on them
Maintained 170-180 until fall 2011
Now: 230. Lol
I have pics but I'm gonna have to find them. I have 2 pics of me at 7% taken on a cheap camera but still it's ok
These numbers are weird but it's been fun going from lanky twig to slightly bigger . Looking forward to posting all the pics.
