    true i deadlifted 405 raw for 2 reps one day out of the blue and this trainer was all about i. it didnt make sense to me as theres atleast 4 other people in the gym who can deadlift more for reps

    I pull 500+ regularly and the trainer / owner of my gym always brings it to the attention everyone in the gym. It's usually like "Just let me know when you need us to stand on the bar for you" or "Do I need to order more plates", etc.

    A lot of my athlete friends I teach the deadlift to pull 405 on their first day. Dead ****ing srs. My first max out when i started lifting was 385. Grip strength was holding me back

    I love that feeling during back day. When you have 4 plates or so on the bar and you can tell everyone in the gym is watching you lift. It helps me a get a few more reps.

    Depends on your gym. In my uni gym loads of people are DLing with 3+ plates and there are only around 5 guys who actually look like they lift, 4+ plates does attract some attention though.

    I can pull 535lb max and it never seems inpressive to me. Probably because I can’t bench past 250lbs and the fact that that is in my head it stops me from being acceptable that my deadlift is actually really good. I weigh 198lb btw
