i heard that abs have a quicker recovery rate, that you can work them probably every 48 hrs....personally i do them about 2 or 3 times a week (this is weighted, in my gym class sometimes we do toning which is just plain crunches). if its hurting real bad i would wait and also make sure you are doing the exercises correctly (im never really very sore, but i work hard). overtraining i believe is gonna be very bad for your muscles, they need time to recuperate. overtraining will also probably decrease your performance, you will be tired all the time and your muscles will be worn out.
