Thumbs up MRI Black Powder Review

i know this isnt whats important here (or maybe it is thinking ) but MRI definetely knows EXACTLY how to sell/market a product. the product comes in this HUGE octagon shaped cardboard box. when you open it inside lies a much smaller jug full of the "black powder" (its actually pink, and its flavored fruit punch explosion). under the jug also contains 2 free samples of Pro-Nos protein powder and a small training booklet with some tips. a nice little bundle i must say.

ok but now on to the REALLY important stuff, the effects...

the recommended dosage is 1 scoop into 8-12 ounces of water but ive taken products like this before so instead i went ahead and put 2 scoops into 12 ounces of water. the taste wasnt so bad, definetely ALOT better than Super Pumps fruit punch and not as bland as Shock Therapy, but still doesnt beat NO Explode's taste (sorry, the only 3 NO products ive ever taken that i can compare it to).

after i took the 2 scoops i waited just 5 minutes (dosage also says 0-30 minutes before workout but i was really anxious to get to the gym) and started walking to my gym, so i guess for me it was about 15 minutes before my workout.

i definetely felt a boost of energy as i started my bicep workout. within the first workout my biceps got very tight (tighter than usual i believe) and within the third workout i definetely saw the 'vein popping' effect ive heard about from this product. throughout the entire time at the gym today (perhaps a bit over an hour straight working out biceps and back) i felt energy.

this is one NO product i enjoyed using and havent felt effects like this since my first time taking NO Explode (shock therapy and super pump did NOTHING for me unfortunately).

My Score (as of now) 4/5 definetely satisfied

oh and just for extra input, the PRO-NOS chocolate protein included as samples was DELICIOUS!

    Sounds awesome.
How safe is this product? I take the medication "paxil" for anxiety and I've been taking superpump250 without any health problems (that I know of lol) would this be okay to take too? From your review it sounds like a must try.

im pretty sure its safe. i didnt notice any type of side effects or anything. but i would hate to give you the wrong information so please just double check with someone before you buy it. maybe go into a GNC and ask an employee (even though they might just lie lol). im glad you like the superpump though, personally it didnt do much for me and i didnt enjoy the taste either. but if its working for you good job, keep it up.

Just bought some myself. Product really came through as hyped. Felt stronger in general throughout my workout and felt that I could lift a lot more than I was. Energy was skyrocketing throughout and I did not feel fatigued at the end at all.
and this was my first serving.
Cant wait to take it again tomorrow.

current supplements: No2 black, Pro-nos, anabolic switch, isf-7, Usana essentials(multi-vitamins+minerals), fish body oils, Gnc Beta alanine, black powder

I started off with 2 scoops too and all I have to say is, Wow! This was the best workout I've had in the last 2 yrs. Energy, focus, strength, and pumps, were all is full force. And when I say pumps, I'm not talking about vein pumping pumps, they were blood gorging pumps. Very impressive.

I have been taking NO2 black in the past, and I am going to give Black Powder a shot because all i hear is good things. Is it necessary to take both at the same seeing they both claim similar effects? What is black powder best supplemented with? Thanks.

hmmm... i would suggest following the directions, the suggested use is usually the better way to take a product instead if just coming up with your own dosing schedule: "Directions: Use on training days only. For best results, take on an empty stomach 0-30 minutes before workout."

yeah, i'm pretty sure its exclusive to gnc, its on sale til the 27th for 46.99, I've been using it for 2 weeks now and i love it, i find it better than vapor, no xplode, shock therapy, and superpump, black powder and vasocharge are def. my top two pre-workout supplements.

    Black Powder (Anxiety anyone?)

I just bought and tried the black powder and the workout was awesome, however, now I have like the worst anxiety i've ever experienced besides the anxiety I've had when I've been caught breaking the law or the time I couldn't make my mortgage payment. I know I sound like a head case, but this is some serious anxiety. I took a serving around 5pm, worked out at 5:30-6:30 and now it's 10pm...just took some tylenol pm just to force myself to sleep. It's not that I can't sleep because of feeling awake with energy, it's just the anxiety - it makes me nervous. Anyone else feelin me here? SOS

    Adverse reaction to black powder

I took MRI black powder and toward the end of day one's workout began to feel light headed and weak. I could barely drive home from the gym, then puked when I got home. After reducing the dosage to half a scoop and having a small meal an hour before workout, I was ok for a couple of weeks. Then the nausea, weakness, and light headed feelings returned suddenly. The symptoms seemed to come and go in "waves". After trying to ride it out for days I had to go to the hospital and was given an I.V. for dehydration and nausea. I usually drink 2-3 liters of water a day. Nearly two weeks after stopping taking the product I still don't feel back to normal. At times I can barely get out of bed or eat. Definitely not a good product for me. Has anyone else had similar symptoms, if so what did you do counteract them?

    Yeah, no kidding.

And to answer the last guy's question, you don't need to take creatine with it since it already has creatine in it as most pre-workout products do these days. You could add a bit of creatine mono if desired....wouldn't kill ya.

Creatine post-workout would for sure be beneficial.

    Bp

Im 17 and have been working out for 2 years but only hardcore in the past 3 months. I started taking black powder around june/july and am at my last 2 scoops. I've never taken more than one scoop a day yet I still get that extremely tight feeling in my forearms and biceps even after 3 months. It also makes my veins pop out too. I notice that after work (10 hr days) I come home with no attitude to work out, just sleep. After I take my BP I am full of energy to workout (which surprisingly doesn't make me crash at all). Coming to the end of my BP I am definitely going to get another tub but I want a little extra so I'm going to get a stack with it. I'm not sure if I should get the No2 black to almost double the nitric oxide amount or go with CE2 creatine (my question is does BP have enough creatine already)? Or... I could go with war and say F! all the stacks and have awesome post workout with awesome pre workout. I really don't know here...

btw mri products are sold at cutting edge and poppies now (canada)

Black Powder was my first pre-workout NO supp it worked awesome. I followed the directions exactly and only took 1 scoop (20g) with 12 oz cold water. Usually about 8 - 10 minutes later, I felt a mild and sometimes moderate energy increase and I have great workouts. But when I finished the 3 lb tub and went off it for almost a month, I didn't feel its effects anymore but still had great workouts. I never got those pumps though, so NO caps took care of that and if I hadn't gone to the bathroom yet, didn't feel like I had to, usually 30 minutes later I had to take an explosive dump and it was always nasty. I would still be taking Black Powder but I only got a mild to sometimes moderate energy increase and then I stopped feeling the energy so now I'm trying Jack3d. First day on this stuff, tried 1 scoop, felt it but nothing insane. Second day, trying 1.5 scoops and am starting to feel it after 10 minutes, so its time to hit the weights soon. I am also no longer sipping my protein shake before and during my workouts so as not to mix with any supps. But immediately afterwards, I will have my protein shake (60g maltodextrin, 31g whey isolate, 5g creatine, ~40 oz water).

Best I have had so far..

Well just got my order of Black Powder and worked out with it this morning and loved it. I got the blue raspberry one, tasted pretty damn good...little on the sweet side but over overall the taste was pretty damn good for a pre work out drink. This stuff also gave my a pretty damn good energy rush and pretty good focus. Basically this stuff gave me everything you would expect, stuff worked really well with me. If you haven't had success with others give this stuff I try. I have tried the overly hyped jack3d and wow was that a let down, also tried no explode, white flood, superpump, no shotgun and for sure Black powder has worked the best for me so far.

    works great!

I use this brand and i have gained 27 lbs in 8 months.

ok but now on to the REALLY important stuff, the effects...

the recommended dosage is 1 scoop into 8-12 ounces of water but ive taken products like this before so instead i went ahead and put 2 scoops into 12 ounces of water. the taste wasnt so bad, definetely ALOT better than Super Pumps fruit punch and not as bland as Shock Therapy, but still doesnt beat NO Explode's taste (sorry, the only 3 NO products ive ever taken that i can compare it to).

after i took the 2 scoops i waited just 5 minutes (dosage also says 0-30 minutes before workout but i was really anxious to get to the gym) and started walking to my gym, so i guess for me it was about 15 minutes before my workout.

i definetely felt a boost of energy as i started my bicep workout. within the first workout my biceps got very tight (tighter than usual i believe) and within the third workout i definetely saw the 'vein popping' effect ive heard about from this product. throughout the entire time at the gym today (perhaps a bit over an hour straight working out biceps and back) i felt energy.

this is one NO product i enjoyed using and havent felt effects like this since my first time taking NO Explode (shock therapy and super pump did NOTHING for me unfortunately).

My Score (as of now) 4/5 definetely satisfied

oh and just for extra input, the PRO-NOS chocolate protein included as samples was DELICIOUS!

    Thumbs up Black Powder

I used this stuff and it worked a bit too well I think!! It really did help to get a much better workout, but it did give me a few heart palpitations. I think it was mainly because I had never really supplemented with anything before it. I tried the Raspberry Ice, I couldn't get past the taste, but it did get me pumped up. Next time I'll try a different flavor. I have been using superpump 250 for the past couple of months and have liked that a lot. I am about out of superpump, which I love, so I will grab some black powder this time because I do get a better pump with it, no raspberry though!

    Taste

Sorry Bros but to me, the Fruit Explosion tasted gawd awful. I'm still drinking the **** but it doesn't go down easy! I'll never buy it again. Just too hard to swallow.
