Chris’ Controlled Labs White Blood 2 Log
My thoughts:
Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by. In this thread, I’ll be obviously logging my experience with Controlled Labs new product, White Blood 2 graciously sponsored by powercage and Controlled Labs. Now this is my first log, so bare with me as I work on the kinks, I’m studying/looking at other logs to see what an ideal log looks like it.
As to my experience with such a product, I’m not really sure what to say. I’ve used stimmed pump products before, but I’ve never actually used a non-stim PWO., so this very much a first for me. Since there is a lot of potential for experimentation with this product, please let me know if you want me to try it out a certain way. I’ll experiment with it on its own, with other PWO, with different carb meals, whatever you want.
I’m picking up the product tomorrow (Friday) in the US; however, an impromptu emergency trip to London has come up, so I will be gone for the next 5 days. I’ll give it one use after I pick it up, and try to hit up the gym at least once in London, but the updates will come regularly come Thursday of next week.
What I’ll be logging:
As it is I workout 4 times/week, or try to at least, school does get in the way. With the product I’ll keep track of mood, focus, pumps, and whatever I feel the product provides. I honestly have no idea as to what to expect right now.
Also, since I'm not too familiar with the ingredients, I'll be doing my own little research and reading on them. I'll be putting what I find in this thread in case you're interested.
Current Supplements:
This isn’t necessarily what I’m taking, but I’ll list what I have and if you want me to experiment it with other products, let me know.
Controlled Labs Orange Triad, Oximega Fish Oil, and Greens
SAN Fierce and Dr. Feel Good
Primaforce ALCAR (500mg)
DS Craze
Myofusion and Allmax Isoflex
SNS Focus XT and Piracetam
Nimbus Poseidon NT
…and maybe a few more, such as samples and whatnot.
Diet:
My diet is a bulking diet right now. Ideally, I aim for 3100 calories/day and on days I workout 3500 calories. Honestly, I’m not the most consistent, school gets in the way and when I start studying I tend to go hours at a time without eating and not even noticing. As it is, I mentally track the calories in my head and if I’m not where I want to be by the end of the night I make myself a gainer shake and just throw everything in there.
Routine:
I just came off a strength routine, and a changing to more of a hypertrophy based routine in a push/pull manner. I just started it this week, so I am experimenting a bit, and starting with a lower volume for these first two weeks. I’ll include them in my logs, and if you have any advice regarding them please post, I know it’s not the best at is it

Haha, sorry guys. Been on the plane for the last bit, been a busy 24 hours.
Day 1 – 3 Tablets, 75g carbs, 1 hour prior to workout
Sooo…. You guys were completely right about 3 tablets being too much for the first usage. Poor choice on my part to skip the tolerance check, but I couldn’t wait that long before I got to use it again. Let’s just say I got what I deserved, and I hope everyone at least learns from my stupidity.
After taking it, I took my dog work for a 30 minute walk, as I read it seems to take about 50 minutes to an hour for the WB2 to hit. As the walk was ending, I had an odd sensation in my right forearm and shoulder. Not sure what that was about, it was the arm I was holding the leash with so I was thinking maybe I was getting a pump from just walking my dog. Crazy maybe, but as it was my first usage, I still had no idea what to expect. Went to the gym, things were all right for the first 15 minutes or so. Then nausea started to kick in… I knocked up a few sets, then ended up sitting down. The nausea did settle slightly though, and my workout did resume too an extent. This workout is a bit of a write-off though considering volume and weights ended up lowered due to the discomfort.
The vascularity was definitely pronounced though; I have no doubt about that. As for focus, I can’t say much. I felt like crap through the first half so I can’t really judge it based on that. Same goes for endurance, as I did cut the workout short because of how it went.
Bit unfortunate as to how things went, I think 2 tablets would have ended up being perfect for me. I think I’ll put up a review after 2 more uses, obviously judging it based on this experience wouldn’t be fair.
Routine:
Squats 135x15x1
185x9x1
225x2x1
At this point, I went and sat down, and took a break.
Military Press 45x15x1
85x8x1
95x5x1
Incline Chest Press 50x8x2
Dips 18x2
I’ll leave this as my entry for today, bit disappointed, but that’s what happens when you read the label and then proceed to do the exact opposite. I’ll be sure to keep it to 2 tablets next time.

2 tabs + carbs seems to be a good dosing for quite a few people

Serving 2 - 2 tablets, 65g carbs, 1 hour before.
So I definitely think I found my sweet spot. Unfortunately it felt like a bit of a waste. Gym I found here in London was a bit pathetic, just ended up hitting the dumbbells + doing some cardio.
DB Chest Press - 50x12x1
60x8x1
70x5x2
Barbell Rows - 95x15x1
115x8x1
135x5x1
Chinups - 10x3
Dips - 15x2
Bike for 20 minutes
Felt great this workout. Didn't exactly get to do what I wanted because the gym was rather limited, but got what I could get done. Really noticed the endurance aspects as I kept going, I thought I wouldn't be able to last for the bike ride as I'm usually used to using SAN Fierce PWO, which has helped me with endurance greatly, and I still ended up having a bit of energy after the bike. Energy wise I was feeling pretty good, bit different from using a stimmed PWO, but still very good. And of course, the pump aspect. Pump was spectacular, especially after the dips. My whole upper body looked bigger and the veins in my forearm and arms were very pronounced. Seems like it lasted longer to.
Anyways this is my last full day in London, I'll be back in my regular gym tomorrow night hopefully. After that, I'll put up my initial review as well.
Cheers!

Good workouts, bro. And it's always good to see you hitting those bells despite the lack of decent equipment. I have to often do that whenever I travel as well. Dumbbell floor presses became my best friend on quite a few trips where hotels just didn't have anything available. Haha. You think you'll be sticking to the 2 tablets per session?

Serving 3 - 2 Tablets, 60g carbs, 1 hour 15 minutes
Just got back from London today, ended up going to the gym about 3 hours after landing, jetlagged and with my knees being a bit sore from the cramped seating. Today was first chance at a real workout in my usual gym using White Blood 2. Unfortunately, I didn't feel much, if anything today. Didn't feel a real difference in focus/strength/endurance. Pump was still there however. There also was a point after a set of deadlifts where I felt a bit dizzy and had to sit down for a bit. However, considering I just came off a flight and hadn't really ate well, it wouldn't be fair to point any fingers at this point.
Routine:
Power Cleans+Front Squats 115x6x1
135x3x2
Rows 100x15x1
115x8x1
135x5x1
Deadlifts 135x15x1
180x9x1
225x5x1
255x3x1
175x6x1
Chinups 9x3
Plan for going for a jog tomorrow, has anyone use WB2 for cardio at all?

Serving 4 - 2 Tablets, 65g carbs 1.5 hours before jog
Nothing too much to write about here, went for a 30 minute jog today. Can't say much for focus or endurance, but I have noticed some definite increased vascularity since taking the pills, whether from the jog, stretching, or just doing everyday things. Still a bit jetlagged, but I read some people are trying tablets before they go to sleep so I'm going to give that a shot tonight.
