I've read some pretty reliable account from some dude who saw a preview of a trailer back in December. Said that in the trailer he saw when the camera spins around the group at the end the Cap yells "Avengers assemble!"

I jizzed.

Then, at another point, Cap yells to the Hulk "Hulk, SMASH!"

i agree. going to all the trouble of rebooting spiderman and makign him the ultimate version of spidey, and then not tying him to the avengers at some point would be a huge let down to true comic fans.



i would love to see them somehow incorporate the punisher reboot, and maybe even the new ghost rider. but one can only dream!

Problem with the Spiderman cameo is his rights are currently owned by another studio to Marvel. They're still reeling from their "mistake" of selling all the names out at the start of the comic film boom, like X-men, Spiderman and I think pretty much any Marvel character based film before Iron Man. The first Hulk was made out of house, then they either bought back the rights or the rights expired and reverted to Marvel, who made The Incredible Hulk.

Though, as someone else mentioned, the Hulk in the Avengers trailer fairly closely resembles his appearance in "Hulk", but his face has been changed to match the new actor pretty closely.
