I'm about 15 pounds overweight (5'10 M 187-190lbs). But my face is really fat. I understand it being a bit chubby but not as chubby as it is. My guess is that I'm retaining water I shouldn't be.
I eat low carb (usually under 50g a day). I've been doing that for a week and a half ish. My sodium intake is usually pretty high. (3000-4000mg). Would temporarily lowering my sodium intake cause me to lose excess and water (and not just gain it right back)? I don't think I can manage low carb and low sodium at the same time, so I would have to start eating at least double the carbs I'm eating now.
Also, I do need to work on consistently drinking a lot of water. I do better on some days than others.

Looks a bit puffy to be honest, edema run in your family?

It's not water weight. You should see a doctor to end your curiousity.

You'll get answers when you see your doc, but in your second pic your face does not look unnaturally puffy to me. The first pic may just be the angle. Usually when people have edema in their face it is first noticed around the eyes (called periorbital edema) - it does not look like you have this but it's hard to determine from the picture. Definitely see your doctor as you're worried but don't be shocked if you're told there is nothing medically wrong.

It could also be thyroid disorder. You should really go to the doctor and get an answer.
