Quick pop in to see if Rebecca is alright. I know she's out west, hoping she's not in Southern Alberta where the flooding is. Even Calgary is shut down. Sigh... it's too awful, really.

I would love to take a little time off to get the house organised, freshened up, and to get life taken care of. I need to get our affairs in order, as they say. Not that I've been told to, it's just nagging at me. Personal To-Do list is getting as long as my business To-Do list. And, like I say, I want to do some sorting out at home, maybe some painting, just freshening up.

Apparently we live in a a crappy elementary school district. Looks like we will be trying to move, buy and sell a house all this summer. Time for fun.

At the revolution school the other weekend a guy walked into the second classroom session late, sweating profusly, hair straight up with dirt all over him. He sat down, raised his hand and said: "please explain brake fade to me". -CSG @Corral.net

I've been working for about a year on my own business. I've been taking advantage of the time I have to move that along more.
That is exactly what I have been doing. I've had a HUGE list of things I wanted to get done in the house that I just didn't have time for. I've slowly been taking care of them and it's such a relief.
The boys are with their dad this week, but when they get back they are probably my biggest project of the summer. They aren't lazy boys and do help out around the house, but not nearly as much as I feel they should be. The main reason is that the nights they are here, we tend to be on the go as their dad isn't as good about getting them to activities and I pick up the slack. I haven't had the time to teach them to do more for themselves. I'm not sure they will be happy about this.https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

Good for you. My sister and I had a discussion about this concerning my 14 year old nephew just recently. She does not make him do much around the house because we had to do so much as kids and she did not want him to shoulder that kind of responsibility. Now she is starting to regret that. I understand the guilt about him doing as much as we did as kids but we turned out to be responsible and contributing members of society so I guess I worked out ok. I don't think parents can do everything for their kids.
