The Calgary Zoo has been evacuated. Last I heard the Saddledome was flooded up to the tenth row of seating, downtown Calgary is literally underwater, highways shut down.

It's unreal.

I read a story this morning that the Zoo was making arrangements to have the animals moved to the Courthouse where they would be housed in the holding cells. Tigers in jail.

And Stampede is only weeks away, isn't it?

I heard the same about the animals. Certainly not ideal but I don't know what other choice there is.

Stampede is two weeks away. It might not happen but no one is confirming everything until the water is gone. Whenever that happens.

Haha awesome. My office has a note above our toaster saying not to put butter, jelly, or any other toppings on the bread before placing in the toaster because it's a fire hazard.

It really actually happened before.

yes I would like toast that is completely soft and white that if I toast again for over 5 seconds will look like a threw it in a bonfire.

I would love to take a little time off to get the house organised, freshened up, and to get life taken care of. I need to get our affairs in order, as they say. Not that I've been told to, it's just nagging at me. Personal To-Do list is getting as long as my business To-Do list. And, like I say, I want to do some sorting out at home, maybe some painting, just freshening up.

I've been working for about a year on my own business. I've been taking advantage of the time I have to move that along more.

I would love to take a little time off to get the house organised, freshened up, and to get life taken care of. I need to get our affairs in order, as they say. Not that I've been told to, it's just nagging at me. Personal To-Do list is getting as long as my business To-Do list. And, like I say, I want to do some sorting out at home, maybe some painting, just freshening up.

Good for you. My sister and I had a discussion about this concerning my 14 year old nephew just recently. She does not make him do much around the house because we had to do so much as kids and she did not want him to shoulder that kind of responsibility. Now she is starting to regret that. I understand the guilt about him doing as much as we did as kids but we turned out to be responsible and contributing members of society so I guess I worked out ok. I don't think parents can do everything for their kids.
