I'm pretty sure that has always been there. The problem is that people reply and seem to enjoy them, so they leave them up.

Kimm said that if a guy came on this site and insulted women or started an obscene thread or a woman hater/baiting thread that is used to be
erased/stopped immediately..that insulting women was not tolerated
seems to me that it is now and has been since I came on board
shoot look what the little miscers do on a friday night.

I am not excusing it or condoning it but ....
ignoring it does not make it go away
unless...it is ignored long enough
by ALL til it drops off the page

if a guy comes in here trolling or trying to stir up trouble
and he is ugly? women dont give a sh*t and tell him so
but if he is good looking????

everyone always says dont feed the trolls but...
that's hard to do when you are getting insulted

I guess the point is it isn't ignored. Some of those threads go on way longer than they should.

And this is quite true. They don't even have to be good looking, they just need to pay the right people the right compliments.

I knew he was flirting..lots of us do that

He was both a complete assho!e and crossed the line with his flirting.

That opinion doesn't come from what I've seen or heard, that comes from what I experienced - which was only compounded by what I'd seen and heard.

Also if I could slap FM/Trinity/Whatever, I would.

She is a piece of work that one.

He wasn't being cruel, until the Lisa thing. At least not that I saw. But, he had a demeaning attitude towards women. He turned me off from the beginning by replying to me and using terms like "pumpkin", etc. I ignored it - after all, it could be a cultural thing and wasn't anything worth flipping out about. But some of his rep comments were, well, over the line. In particular since he didn't know me from the next person.

Regardless it is not ok to say the things he did - in rep comments - to women you BARELY know AND when you are married.

Not joking, I almost reported him for his rep comment, it was that offensive.

In the forum, he said something that didn't make sense to me, so I asked him to clarify. I even said I knew I was coming across bitchy, didn't mean to, was just curious and didn't understand his point of view. Jumped all over me.

I just walked away at that point.

So....Ryan decided he was going to build Charlie a dog house instead of buying one.

He found a bunch of free plywood and stuff on Kijiji. Then yesterday he went to one of the neighbouring neighbourhoods that is currently under construction to look for some Tyvek paper and other odds and ends that would be wasteful for us to buy.

Ends up coming home with close to $1000 (new) in tools someone tossed in a dumpster - brand new auger, 3 or 4 drills, a tile cutter, paint sprayer, faucets and doorknobs still in the original packaging..... So far only one saw doesn't work.

If he can sell it all - and can sell it for 50% of the new price - we'll make about $400.

I did tell him he should think about calling the police to see if it's stolen - as someone who recently had stolen goods recovered and all.

Though that is a pretty decent payday!

Probably not.

He was already trying to trade some of it for fishing gear last night.

Chances are it's not stolen. The stuff was found in one of those giant construction dumpsters with what Ryan said looked like a bunch of leftover materials no one wanted to deal with - like the faucets and doorknobs still in original packaging and several cans of unopened paint.

I'll probably harass him about it again tonight.
