Where do you ladies buy your favorite jeans? I need some suggestions!

There is no standard size (and, btw, I have the same size assortment). I bought a bunch of stuff from Chico's recently. (Their sizes are wonky, but you'll get the point.)

One pair of pants I bought in a size .5. They are huge and if I don't wear a belt, I am constantly pulling them up.

Bought the same pants in another color in a size 0. They fit awesome.

Bought a pair of skinny jeans in a size 0. The are a little snug, but overall fit without a noticeable muffin top.

Bought a pair of boot cut jeans in a size 0 and I couldn't get them up over my hips. Returned them and got a size .5 and they are tight, but wearable. And tighter than the size 0 skinny jeans.

What. the. fuk.

I rarely even look at sizes anymore. If it looks like it would fit, I try it on.

The 5 pairs of pants I bought are all the same brand, from the same store.

If I hold up the 6s next to the 8s, the 6s are an inch or more BIGGER.

I don't have favourite jeans.

I've been buying cheapish jeans through the whole procreating stage of my life. I got in AMAZING shape right before I got married and had a KICK ASS jean collection - more than 12 pairs. Haven't worn them in almost 6 years. I've gotten rid of all but 2 pairs that I'm still holding out on.

I plan to be back into killer jeans by next summer. And I will be splurging on something ridiculous, don't even care!

I don't mind Old Navy but I'd say about 80% of their jeans are a very unflattering cut. VERY hit or miss, mostly miss. I like my AE jeans but they don't stay up very well.

Really, I am of no help. I've been wearing ****ty ass jeans for years.

My main issue with jeans is that I'm so long bodied and everything is super low rise. It would be fine if all the shirts weren't made to hit right at the waist. They hit above the waist on me and I am too old to walk around with my stomach hanging out.

Rebecca - that SUCKS! Flattering jeans make you feel so good about yourself! Flattering clothes in general just make you feel good. That should be a priority!

NO ONE should be walking around with their stomach hanging out. Ever.

I have the same issue - I don't dry most of my clothes for fear of shrinking in length, lol. Finding anything that is long enough for me to wear is a miracle.

Yup they carry tall sizes in store That's where I buy all my dress pants for work. Everywhere else it looks like i'm waiting for a flood. Pants shopping = nightmare for me.

Unfortunately the priority of food and bills and clothing the boys always comes before my clothes buying desires. Plus I don't even have the desire to purchase a new wardrobe every few months - and toss clothes I only wore a few times. Also most clothing is not made for recuperating post-baby bodies so NOTHING fits me properly. I've dropped probably 20 lbs recently so it's a bit easier now.

I've been saying it for almost 5 years already! What's one more year?

I have a couple pairs of jeans I like, but none that I LOVE. I'm giving myself the next year to get back to the body I want to have - and since I'm done having babies, I won't have any excuse not to maintain - and then I will buy myself a pair of stupidly expensive designer jeans that I LOVE.

OMG MY LIFE IS OVER. I emailed AE about my jeans, and I got this reply back:

"We have researched the item you requested and found that this item is no longer available. Unfortunately, we do not keep stock from past seasons, or previously featured merchandise. We apologize for any inconvenience."

Last night at Boy Scouts I found out that Mike made the Order of the Arrow, which is like the honor society of Boy Scouts. Once they hit a certain rank they are eligible and the scouts vote them in. He has no idea that he made it. They have a ceremony at the big district campout in May. He is going to be so excited. He's only been a Boy Scout for a year, so it's an even more impressive accomplishment.

Just had a bit of a heart-to-heart with my friend. Over FB, yuck, but it's all good.

I feel SO much better about the whole thing. And I am so glad that I kept my mouth shut about it. I would have made a total ass of myself.

She read my blog - the part where I said I didn't want to hear ANYTHING about the trip - and she totally took it to heart. That's why she didn't say anything when she was over the other day. She wanted to tell me everything - ESPECIALLY about the letter and the movie -the letter made her cry so hard, she freaked out her husband the night before the wedding and she said EVERYONE bawled over the video (even the groom and his brother!!) Anyway she wanted to tell me everything but she also understood and wanted to respect how I was feeling and was waiting until I was ready to hear about it.

She said everything I wanted and needed to hear.

I love her so much. She is such a great friend.


HUGE congrats to Mike! That is awesome! And I love that you are keeping it a surprise.
