I wish my building would work on climate control. I'm frigging freezing all year round. Today my space heater is barely making a difference.

That sounds even better, a friend of mine is stationed not too far from you I believe and he was shocked at the winters after living in South Georgia all his life.

Fort Drum? If so, that's up on Lake Ontario. The closer you are to the lakes, the more brutal the winters are.

Yep, that's Fort Drum. That's a couple of hours northwest from me. It's a totally different weather pattern up there. More snow, for sure. I can see where it would be a shock after living in GA your whole life.

Yikes. I'm not sure I'm ready for snow yet. Of course, it's rained all fall so it's going to happen before I know it. I had the boys try on their winter coats from last year and they are all set.

I have Kadyn's old boots in the basement but I can't remember what sizes I have. Plus Kadyn has crazy wide feet and Graysen has skinny tiny fit. He *just* fit into the shoes Kadyn wore on his first birthday.

That's the problem I'm running into these days.

I kept a bunch of Kadyn's clothes but they're all WAY too big for Graysen. Hopefully the clothes Kadyn wore for his second winter will fit Graysen for his third.

I also have a 24 month. That's where anything I can't sell is going. Which right now is just about everything winter related.

I would take you up on the offer but I suspect I could find a jacket locally for what it would cost just to ship yours to me.

I probably have a jacket in our outdoor box anyway. I forgot about the boots until just recently, there's a good chance I've forgotten about other stuff packed away down there.

I just really don't understand why so many are taking things so personally and feeling attacked. I see general statements all the time about the flirting, etc. and I don't ever feel like they are talking about me. And lord knows, I flirt. The personalization is what made that and the OV35 thread such a ****storm.

Edit - but I truly don't ever recall there being this "regular" vs. "others" mentality. Let's be honest, there was some serious drama around here before (Bambi) and I don't recall anyone pointing out that someone wasn't a "regular". What does that even mean? It really confuses me when it's said to me. I've posted in this subforum nearly every day for 5 years. And I'm not a "regular"? Do I want to be a "regular"? It might mean I need to get off the frigging computer and do something!

Also, I'm not sure the joint journal thing got blown so out of proportion. I didn't read it as anyone saying anything about joint journaling, just questioning why it would be done in the female forum when one partner is a male. I have to be honest, I wonder about that, too. Just like I've wondered about joint journals in the OV35 when one of the people isn't OV35. Seems like there are enough forums to put a journal in where it would be relevant for both parties.

The line seemed more definitive when LBM made the impossible to derail thread. Which is funny because I feel like she's switzerland in all of this.

I saw mention of this joint journal (and others) in a thread somewhere and assumed it would be in the general workout journal section - why would anyone who ISN'T female have a journal in the female section??
