Mike's birthday is in a month. I have no idea what to get him. He's heading into the difficult to buy for years.

We already have one. I'd get him a new game, but honestly, I don't think he's going to have time this year. Cross country, Boy Scouts, TKD, 2 accelerated classes, etc.
They advertised both of these at the Batman movie. Kevin wants them both. lol.https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice
I will choose a path that's clear

He's going to be 12 - 7th grade.
My lease is up in March. My next car will turn into his. I can't believe it's that close! We're going to have to figure out where to park it because we only have 2 stall garage and the driveway is only as wide as the garage. We should have extended it when we had the driveway redone a couple of years ago, but we didn't want to get into ripping up parts of the sprinkler system.https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

Money? My nephew is 13 and he has so much already so I gave him money last year for his birthday and Christmas. It was the first time I did not buy him anything. Now I guess I am "that person" who sends money instead of gifts. I think it's just the age though. It is hard to find something they like but do not already have.

Hitting the upper body tonight then homework with some coffee while watching the olympics and local election results. (Exciting I know)

That's probably going to be a good portion of his gift, as well. The kid won't use it, though. He's saved up close to $300 in chore money, gifts, etc.
That's a great idea. Mike did the archery merit badge at summer camp last year and loved it. My brother got him a bow and arrow and a target last year for his birthday and he is out in the yard with it a lot.https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

Morning!
My son will also take FOREVER to decide to spend it. He stands there trying to make sure that whatever he is looking at is worth the money, or if something better will come along. I think it's great to see kids that don't spend everything as soon as they get it. Mike's on his way to a nice savings account to take to college with him.https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

Jack is a spender. It drives me nuts!
IRL I'm a good writer. And I can't for the life of me figure out how so many of my colleagues got so far IN A RESEARCH ONE UNIVERSITY SETTING without being able to write. I just got an email asking me to rework a section in a report. I had to read it at least 15 times to even get an inkling of what the subject was. Good lord. And yet I'm the one with the menial pay. Morning!
Simpy, I am amazed by how A LOT of people got where they are with the writing skills they have. So many people seem completely incapable of putting a coherent sentence together.DAYUM!!!

My daughter spends every penny of her allowance as soon as she gets it! She is only 7, but I don't see good money habits in her future.
