Harry, I TOTALLY forgot about posting a review of the Ergo Shred. I'll do that later today.

Also, I'm thinking I'll start a legit journal in July. Gotta get through a bit of work travel and personal travel first. And I had a leg thing done yesterday. No lifting or running for a week.

Simpy and Erin - do you find meditating beneficial? I've done it a few times, and contemplate starting again. I get WAY too stressed out about stuff. When I'm stressed, my eczema flares up. Right now it's on my eyelids. UGH. You can't see it, but I can notice it and I can't wear eye makeup with it because my skin is all cracked and dry.

We had a great weekend! Got everything planted except for the sunflowers and hit the lake for some family time. Good stuff!

It was the first time the boys have every slept away from home and they did great - they looked so cute snuggled up together in a king size bed.


On a not so great note - Simpy, I am so done with It Works. Definitely ranks in my top 10 worst customer service ever. I'm on my third call this morning and have not received one ounce of help.

He definitely set the bar high for the other teachers. I have to check, but I think Mike worked with him last year. He is a special education teacher and he works with autistic kids. Last year, Mike was selected to be a reading buddy for those kids (he loved it). One of the benefits to sharing building space is that they can share specialized resources like that.

Kids never like it when their parents coach. lol. Kevin hated it when I was his coach. Though, he's forgotten it and asked me to coach again.







I haven't been able to practice it consistently enough to really say. But, I can tell you that I am able to reach the meditative state during the relaxation stage of my yoga class and those nights I do sleep much better.

I get skin issues when stressed, too. As I get older, I get more of them. Fun.

My kids are so behind on this stuff. Sunday, Mike had a patrol leader meeting for Boy Scouts at the same time as I had a committee meeting. They always finish before us and so he had to sit and wait. This week he happened to be the only scout who had to sit and wait. I gave him my keys and told him he could turn on the radio. He didn't even know how to do that. I had to teach him when we were leaving.

G... So sorry about that... You can pick your friends but you cant pick your family... People will always say it is their loss, but really it is Kayden and Graysen's loss. Although I don't think Kadyn and Graysen are missing out on much since several people have tried using them to get to us.

And it breaks my heart that the boys don't have any grandparents, aunts, uncles or cousins.

I would really like to round them all up and roundhouse junk punch them all.

I am very lucky to come from a loving family. I'm surrounding my aunts, uncles, cousins, a brother, and parents that love me, Jack, and Doug. And the same is true of Doug's family. It makes life much easier to have people in it that love you. My heart breaks for you and your family because you don't have that. No, you don't need it, but it sure makes life better and I wish everyone could experience it.

I know how ya feel Rebecca. Mom died when I was 24 and her siblings were just horrible fighting over the inheritence that I wanted nothing more to do with them. I did not want my son to grow up with the same backstabbing attitude. I seperated myself from them. My folks were long since divorced and even as a kid I was lucky to see my dad once a year. When I was married and a mom I did not even see him that much.
I did like my mother in law but she passed away four years after my mom did. My dad died when I was 31. my sons had one grandpa and he spent most of his time in Florida.

the problem is that this is family and families are supposed to be:
nurturing, considerate, respectful, loving..and each time one of them disappoints you or makes you angry you tell yourself never again..
it's that still, small little bit of hope ya know...that lingers in your heart
that gets ya every time

Another rainy day here. Hopefully it warms up so we can do some puddle jumping!

Last night I went to a little art show for the school district here. Mike had a piece in it. I was pretty impressed when we got there and saw that they only had about 50-100 pieces there from the 3 middle schools. The school graduates around 700 per year, so over the 3 grades at the middle school level there are about 2100 kids. He is so analytical that I forget that he has a creative side as well.

Aww yuck! It is actually supposed to get really hot here this week. It's been so up and down here.

I'm not sure where Mike came from. lol. His dad isn't that motivated. And while I did good in school, etc., I was not on the same level as him. And I certainly wasn't as well behaved as him. He's also quite humble. I find out about his achievements from other people more often than not.


Rebecca, it's raining here as well. It's warm, but still. We have lucked out lately, though, and have had rainy weeks followed by fantastic weekends.

It was supposed to rain all weekend and didn't - it was gorgeous! I'm glad it held off until now, I just wish it was warmer. I would definitely take the boys out for some splashing. I still might since I will probably be the only one bothered by the cold.
