As a diabetic, the simple answer is that you need to monitor your blood glucose levels. PERIOD!. You need to be aware at how your body reacts. I've been type 1 for 25 years. Every supplement I try, I monitor closely. If it impacts my levels negatively, I stop taking the supplement. Ive tried a couple supps that when just taking it once, it has raised my blood glucose levels fairly quickly. Is it worth adjusting your insulin so much just to be able to take a supplement when you should be concentrating on your diet in general?
On your general question, I've never had a protein powder affect my glucose levels. I also take Xtend and whiteflood. Both do not negatively affect my levels. Each person will have a different sensetively though so just keep an eye on it.ErgoGenix ErgoZzz log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=167645251&p=1365912691#post1365912691
