Web Developers...get in here for reps

    Hello fellow developers.

I currently develop database-intense applications and I am trying to take the next step to rebuild one of our smaller, standalone applications to the web.
I haven't done web development since college so I'm wondering what I should use to tackle this project. My previous web experience was ASP.net & ADO.net 2.0.

So my question to you guys is, what fundamentals should I read up on for the latest and greatest for database web development (One MS SQL Server for with max 30 concurrent users). Also, book recommendations are appreciated.

ASP.NET + Entity Framework (either Entity Framework or NHibernate)

If your adventurous look at MVC 3 + Razor (new way of making websites in ASP.NET)... though the learning curve is pretty high

But seriously MVC 3 makes programming for the web so ****ing nice, I won't be going back to the old Web Forms thats for sure.

MVC 3 was just recommended to me by someone else also. Do you recommend any books/learning material?

The MVC 3 stuff is powerful, but I'd suggest the aspx over the razor engine. Honestly you might be better off using the old school stuff. The learning curve is steep for MVC 3.

Not a book but a really good tutorial to get you started. It focuses on C# as the .NET language.

    Heres the VB equivalent.

Personal preference really. I just find razor to be a lot more cleaner to look at.
