They do indeed.. It's just a sad fact of life.
But when something good comes to and end, doesn't mean something better can't begin! And that is what I'm hoping for
Sucks the way you had to leave that FF.. I had very few people I would consider friends at my gym.
Only 2 really, and both were there today so it was sad to say goodbye but it's for the best (for me anyway).
Thanks man, your overheads were not too far off!
You will be there soon enough once the upcoming cut is over I'm sure!
I'm sure the FF will workout, I have chosen one in particular that seems to have quite a few serious lifters that allow everything I want (I think I mentioned this to you) which is great.
Will definitely enjoy the holiday, thanks dude.
I'll still be logging too (y)
Yeah it really sucked, but yes sir I've checked and they're all good with deads and chalk.
Actually I've been to check it out and there was a smaller looking dude pulling 4.5plates without too much strain so it seems I won't be alone in what I do!
Thanks Justin!

That sucks about the gym, that's why I have a home gym
I would be so mad if someone told me my form was poor, especially when they are the ones that should know best. In my eyes, the deadlift is the second most important lift ever, yet chumps like that will rule it out for everyone.
I'm really mirin that press, next step BW!! Why are you heading to Cairns? I've been there about ten times lol, the joys of living in qldI'm aware I'm a wolf

A home gym is definitely appealing man, playing by your own rules must be great!
I was rather pissed off when they said my form and training was ****, they had no idea what they were talking about.
No way I'm giving up deadlifting for that.
BW press certainly isn't far off, my main concern is getting 2 plates!
Just heading up to Cairns for the fun of it, haven't been there since I was 1year old hahaha.
I'm actually at the airport now!
Thanks Cam!
Good to hear about the inzer, I still ****ing love mine. It's still with me on this trip :3

Sucks about your gym bro..I got to a 24/7 one where you let yourself in with an access card, so I go a like midnight when no ones around and I dont have to deal with bitching. Good luck at your new place.
Also, wtf?! Ridiculous incline bench!Bench Press - 225x18 // 275x8 // 330x1
Squat - 385x7 // 445x1
Overhead Press - 135x20 // 225x1
Deadlift - 385x11

you have some very impressive lifts, ive just been catching up on lost time from injury
Thanks dude! lifting that late at night would so much better.
a benefit of a 24/7 gym for sure.
the people at my old gym were *******s so im glad to have moved on, but yeah it does suck. at least i wont be dealing with that anymore (hopefully)
was pretty happy with the incline bench for it being the first ever doing it, still wanna pick that **** up a little more though!"It is what you do with the knowledge that dictates who you are" - Xuaxace

Dude if I could rep that on incline BB I would be so happy. My incline BB has always been so shtty compared to all my other chest lifts, probably cuz I dont train it much. The total weight of my incline DB press totally dwarfs my incline barbell. Something just feels so awkward to me about barbell.
Bench Press - 225x18 // 275x8 // 330x1
Squat - 385x7 // 445x1
Overhead Press - 135x20 // 225x1

Squat
125kg(275lbs) x 5
145kg(320lbs) x 3PR
110kg(242lbs) x 8
SLDL
3 x 145kg(320lbs) x 8
Leg Press Calf Raise
4 plates x 12
4.5 plates x 12
5 plates x 12
still dont like new gyms, but this one isnt too bad at all. struggled more than usually with the 145kg squat set, but it's hard to get the right feel in an unfamiliar environment.
exhausting from the heat too.. hot as fck up here.
doesnt matter though, i got done what i had to get done successfully.
went snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef too (which i think i can count as cardo) so it's been good up here for training too"It is what you do with the knowledge that dictates who you are" - Xuaxace

i was pretty happy, but im kind of the opposite hahaha, always done a lot better with barbell movements.. look at my dumbbell bench compared to barbell too, it sucks.
people i guess are just suited or more used to different things.

Bench
100kg(220lbs) x 5
110kg(242lbs) x 3
122.5kg(270lbs) 3 + 1 spotted I should have had.
****ing pissed and lost my **** at the guy who spotted me as Im pretty sure I still had that 4th rep. I told him specifically not to touch it unless the barbell goes down.
Pretty bad anyway, last time I nearly got 5.
Different environment again though.
Incline DB Bench
37.5kg(83lbs) x 8
40kg(88lbs) x 7 PR
BB Row
90kg(198lbs) x 6
100kg(220lbs) x 6
112.5kg(248lbs) x 8
DB Seated OverHead Press
32.5kg(72lbs) x 8
35kg(77lbs) x 8
37.5kg(83lbs) x 5 matched pr fck yeah
Chins (DB between legs.. No dip belt)
BW x 14
BW + 7.5kg(17lbs) x 10
2 x BW + 12.5kg(28lbs) x 9, 8
Lateral Raise
3 x 20kg(44lbs) x 10
Hammer Curls
2 x 22.5kg(50lbs) x 10
25kg(55lbs) x 10
Not a bad day for what it was
Bench was irritating though, I would've been happy to have gotten the 4th rep myself.
Everything else wasn't too bad.
Didn't do the rows off the floor.. Felt it much more in my back given the bigger TUT

Fukin strong db shoulder presses man...I doubt I could get 83 lbs for even two reps if I did it first, and here you are repping it mid workout.
Part of me misses being around 200 lbs could rep 80s. I swear shoulder press is the ony thing my cut really fuked my strength on. GjdmBench Press - 225x18 // 275x8 // 330x1
Squat - 385x7 // 445x1
Overhead Press - 135x20 // 225x1

*******s always touch the bar...
I now tell people that if they touch the bar, my set is doesn't count, and only to help me when the bar is on my chest and can't get it off me. Not that I have needed many spots lately thanks to the rack :3

new gym, another new environment. but i like this one a lot more :3
was kind of knocked around from the plane trip (went straight to the gym after we left the airport).
dont know how i ****ed up the first set of squats, but i felt no stretch reflex for the first time in a long time. basically just dropped the last rep.
was pissed off so i did the set again and i got my 5. sped the reps up but was still grinding the last 2 reps..
not so happy but i guess i have to get used to things.
everything else was pretty good, just the pull ups were weird. had to use a really fat bar to do them.
good day in the end though"It is what you do with the knowledge that dictates who you are" - Xuaxace

hahha I know all of those feels. Are you squatting on those black rubber flooring? I really like that, no slipping at all, lots of grip.
Pull throughs, pretty much the same story as me when I used to do them. I used to range from 50kg for a lot of reps or 65kg x 5-8 but it was so hard to not slip out of position!
Pull ups, are you pulling on those TRX fat bars eh? I really really really liked pulling up on those, I was able to make a much better hook out of my hands than with the normal pull up bar.
Good **** on those squats though, Good stuff re trying a set, that is what I do :3"Do not subordinate fundamental principles to minor details."

i am indeed, ive never slipped squatting so i wanna keep it that way :3
ive had big trouble slipping on pull throughs though!
today was good though.
the TRX bars were something i wasnt used to, felt like my forearms were more of the issue. i might try to get used to them, a lot more room than the other bars.
i was determined to get the set of 5, and i knew i had it in me. its was a good feeling to get it!
Thanks James!
i was pretty determined
