    Whats more important, eating or sleeping?

    Is it better to sleep 8 full hours or to eat every 2-4 hours? Like should I wake up in the middle on the night to eat some steak or chicken or something, or would it be more beneficial to sleep 8 hours straight

    Eating every 2-4hrs is unnecessary. You need to eat enough calories and sleep enough.

    it doesn't matter... if you normally wake up to take a piss or something i'd take a shake then but if not then why would you wake up to eat when you can just do it during the day

    I'm pretty sure 60 minutes did a report a few years ago on sleep and found it to be just as important as nutrition.

    Just eat enough during the day, if you're that worried about it then take some casein before you go to sleep. Get good rest.

    Meal timing and frequency has no importance at all. As long as you hit your daily macros, you don't need to drink a shake before bed or wake up to take one. People will argue that sleep isn't too important but it really is. Not only for weight loss/gain. I find myself to be more productive, energetic, and I focus more when I sleep good.

    Sleep, waking up to eat would almost defeat the purpose of sleeping that long.
