oh, every experience I shared was real, but I find all of these situations to be quite funny. Sometimes at the moment they happen, they are not so funny but they sure are later on.

No way. I abandoned the church when I was 16. I briefly went back to it at 19, just before I got married. I was unhappy, and I thought it was because I was a sinner. Illogical, but this is how you think when it is drilled into your brain on the daily. I seriously said prayers 5x/day (morning, night, and with each meal), read the book of mormon and bible 2x a day, and listened to scripture tapes at night before I went to bed. All organized by my parents, of course. In addition, there was high school seminary which was 2 hours every morning before school after I turned 13, plus youth nights every wednsday.

When I was 16, I fell in love for the first and only time in my life. When my parents found out, it was a Sinday after I faked sick and went to my boyfriend's house instead. When they came back, they said"I know where you were." They then began screaming at me about how horrible I was, etc...in response, I told my mom and dad "I hate your fuking church!". My mom told my dad to call the bishop so that they could cast out my demons. I literally ran away. I came back 8 hours later, and my parents made it hell for me after that until I turned 18. Literally tried to force me to be Mormon and when I didn't comply, my mom decided I was either possesed or had a mental illness. She would take me to a child psychiatrist, her and I would be in the same room with him, and then when I left, my mom would tell him about all the trouble I was causing. I was forced to take zyprexa for 2 weeks at one point. My mom would check my mouth to make sure I swallowed it. When I was sleeping the whole day, she finally told me I didn't need to take it anymore.

It was a controlling environment, and honestly, I think I could be a lot more fuked up than I am now. I think I am doing pretty ok for myself. I don't need anyone's judgements, but I am posting this so that maybe you can get an idea of where I was coming from getting married so young to someone I never loved. ok? :/

you should really be seeking some type of psychiatry or counseling to get help with these isues. However, I think you will find that if you dive deep enough into any persons past their subsequent actions will begin to make alot of sense one way or the other. Every person's behavior is greatly shaped by their experiences growing up and realtionships; specifically and most impotantly being one's relationship with their parents (or in many dysfunctional cases, lackthereof). It is of no suprise to me that some one who behaves in such a destructive manner towards another would have a ****ed up past. But, just because it makes sense does not make your actions justifiable. At some point, it becomes your responsibility to study yourself and your actions from an objective stand point; this can be achieved over time through a number of different devices such as meditation, keeping a journal, exercise, art etc... but I digress. You clearly have a knowledge of your past and how it contributed to your perpetuation of the cycle of emotional abuse (of your ex-husband). Hopefully you see that as a lesson learned and an opportunity to become a more complete person; because a person who would string along someone else willingly into a marriage is a very emotionally deficient human. As long as you continue to see yourself as a victim of your circumstances you will repeatedly be disappointed.

I doubt anyone will read this but I am really sick of this attitude. I have tried to say this in person to several girls but I'm always the *******. So i pretty much just shut down and nod so I don't go insane from all the contradictions, bull**** justifications and general entitlement. end rant.

Some of us are aware of this, don't worry! Men are seemingly oblivious to many things and need stuff explained simply and clearly. Once a woman learns that, things go much more smoothly.

i assume you are referring to men not being able to pick up on more subtle emotional cues. I think that is one of the least accurate stereotypes of the male sex, and I find it to be quite sexist. It has been my experience that men are just as capable as women (or have the potential to be) when it comes to the emotional realm. I believe that the key is to strive to be a good human rather than operating within the narrow parameters of gender roles; one of the most inspiring professors I have had believed that androgyny is an important characteristic to strive for. To me, that makes so much more sense than much of the crap I have heard spewed forth from either side of the gender debate.

Lol damn you and your well thought out responses! But yeah I pretty much tend to agree. I think a woman's flexibility and fluidity can be an asset, as long as they can stay focused on the overall objectives. To use your managerial example...this would be the ability to adapt to a fast-paced business environment, while maintaining the vision of the organization. On the other hand, it makes it very difficult for a man to anticipate a woman's thoughts/actions/needs, both in business and in a relationship. And its true, some men are way to stubborn for their own good. Either that or their egos take over and blind them to the realities of the situation. But I still think a man's steadfastness and ability to cut through BS in an effort to achieve goals makes for a better leader. I've worked with women before who let petty BS between themselves derail entire projects. Likewise, I've worked with men I can't stand but we managed to put personal issues aside to get **** done.

One thing I haven't seen brought up ITT is maturity level. Most women I've known who were guilty of crazy, woman logic, were also incredibly immature. They have a lot of unresolved mental issues and over-inflated egos (fcking wk's), which combined with lack of maturity, makes for the ultimate mind fck for us men. Then there are women who don't have huge egos and have minimal issues (let's face it, we all have a couple lol) who mature into respectable ladies. A big part of it is upbringing and their overall environment/what they expose themselves to. You can often learn a lot about a woman by her friends. I also think part of maturity is being able to look at yourself and recognizing weaknesses...not blaming everyone else for your problems. That's something very few people do in general.

One of your professors was a a feminist, and should be completely ignored. Androgyny is not a desirable trait in a species where the sexes have such differing physical traits as ours. It only makes sense to you because you're a beta ******* who is actively afraid of being a man because fem-centric society has convinced you both that exhibiting masculine traits is barbaric and that women prefer a ""man"" who is much closer to them on the spectrum of traditional gender roles. Both are patently false, and all it takes is one look at the *******s that the most attractive women frequently date to realize that women actually want a manly man. However, because of feminism's triumphs there aren't any left. There are innumerable *******s like you striving to invert your dick, and then a few guys who got tired of their repeat failures with women, and decided to treat them poorly for revenge. Lol believe it or not it seems like most of the females ITT have have gotten along fairly well, with the exception of IWC, who pretty much everyone agreed was the epitome of female logic. Unless I missed some exchanges somewhere. Although you reminded me of something I saw not too long ago.
