That's what I'm saying!
One of my best friends has a family like that, her baby brother is the shortest in the family at 5'10 or something like that but he's 15 or so...
I got a chuckle off of this one, I can imagine P doing a little mambo foot work between sets.
I don't remember the last time I heard/read anybody drinking raw eggs since the world decided Salmonella was the new Ebola...
Well if that's the case you definitely need to come to the O.
Uncertain why this is relevant...
Really? I find it to be a pleasant change of pace since I'm usually the gassy one in the group of friends/family...

Yeah I put off the whole going to the doc when I'm sick until Mondays too. If it's the weekend my freaking foot could be falling off but I somehow feel 100x better when I'm not at work, lol.
That detox stuff scares me, I can't believe people put themselves through that ridiculousness. Want to lose weight? Quit drinking a 2L of Pepsi every day and get some water in there damnit! Don't even get me started on these idiots who drop their intake to 1k a day... stupid people make me rage. /rantCurrent PRs:

I heard mention in Kim's log that there was gas talk so I figured I'd be right at home. You use egg beaters? I hadn't even thought of that...have you tried them in a standard shake? IE just milk and protein powder, if so did you notice the egg substitute (I can't see them as real eggs) affecting the taste drastically?

Welcome
I can't even taste the Egg Beaters in my shake. It makes a bit thicker consistency, but that's about it. Make sure you just get the plain egg whites Egg Beaters (they are real eggs, just pasteurized). Some of them are seasoned and that would just be plain yucky! The one I buy just says: "Whites" at the top of the label then "Egg Beaters" below. It mixes just fine in a shaker cup too.Last edited by swooshie; 02-13-2012 at 11:12 PM.

^^^ THIS gets me fired up faster than just about anything these days! My neighbors were all on it and we were outside one night and the one neighbors were talking about some dressing they found that didn't have "XYZPRMS" in it and I was all "but what IS in it? Do you even know??" and they all just huffed and puffed.

Hey ya phottie (the "P" is silent!) So, question, is your name Pharty = silent H = "party".... or Pharty = PH makes "F" sound = "farty" cause either one works, ya know
Yeah, those hack squat quad shredders are a total head game. My face ain't purrity, that's fur sure . By the last set, I did do rest/pause with a 15 second rest/pause. You just have to push through it.....and I don't have that much weight on it either. I always like the saying "Your mind gives up way before your body does"
The four flights of stairs I take every day up to the clinic KILLED today though!

So, I'm curious...why so many reps on the hack squat? I guess I've done long burn out sets but it's usually just the last set...not multiple sets like that..

Hey Bos! It's just part of the program I'm doing right now. I'm running Kris Gethin's 12 week Transformation. I've done this program before for about 6 weeks then dumped it because I was getting bored with it and it gets a bit clumsy trying to do a lot of drop sets with plates. However, I just finished 4 months of PHAT and I thought this program would have some muscle shock value since it's so different from PHAT.
As this program progresses, it does get into a lower rep/higher weight routine, and I'm not sure if all of these high rep sets in the beginning are for body conditioning purposes for the relative newbie, but it is a nice change up right now. I only plan on being on this for 6 weeks then on to something else. I'm not totally in love with this program, and I do change things up a bit based on personal preference, but it is certainly a big change from what I've been doing the past 4 months.
I'd love your input or opinion. Thanks so much for your support, Kim.Caring about what people think of you is useless. Most people don't even know what they think of themselves.

Hiya, DD
Ha! My legs have always been my nemesis. Those hack squats were just how the program was written....probably not something I would have thrown in on my own. I'm definitely feeling the DOMS today. Like I said above, I'm doing this program more for the change up and muscle shock factor after running PHAT for 4 months. I much prefer to go heavy on legs, but I'll keep this one for a while and see what happens.
Thanks for stopping by! I'd love any input or suggestions from you!
Oh, that's a good one too! Unfortunately, I work through many, many lunches.Last edited by swooshie; 02-16-2012 at 11:38 PM.
