It was great! No other pics though .... work field trip .... had to stay undercover
So amazing! I slept so well that night! And I forgot to tell you that the nail polish I picked out for my pedicure is called Smoochie! At first I thought it said "Swooshie" seriously! and I was all "wow OPI named a nail polish after me!!!" but then I held it real close to my eyeball and saw that itty bitty writing on the bottom of the bottle said "Smoochie" Cute
It was!!! We all had a blast! Great team building too!
Haha! Well there actually was a little grumbling about having to be at work by 7:30 ... and then there was grumbling that our little Christmas bonus would be taxed ..... yes, people, you must pay the IRS for income received
Really??? What school does she go to? We should meet at Lulu's!!!
Thanks, Geek!! Can you guess who complained about 7:30 a.m. arrival time and tax paying??? Good guess!
I really do love my job and the work environment will eventually get better ................ i hopeCaring about what people think of you is useless. Most people don't even know what they think of themselves.

Everything was amazing! That spa is really beautiful and serene and smells so good! I bought one of their candles that smells like their small .... so yummy! I think I should splurge on a facial every now and again. My skin looks great
I am the one person in Portland that doesn't go to Starbucks .... the only one
I know, Raigs.....I would have snapped a few more pics, but, you know, I was still on the clock (they paid us for the day too )
Actually, you're not too far off. We've been slammed trying to catch up from all of those days the clinic was closed.

I've missed you guys!! I've been Christmas shopping after work the past two nights. I have to mail a lot of gifts back East so I want to make sure everything gets sent off in time. I've found some really cool stuff too! I went ahead and bought everything even though there was a really, really good chance I would become a half billionaire tonight. I rarely buy Lottery tickets, or gamble, or buy PowerBall tickets, but when PowerBall hit half a billion (Billion!!) dollars, I bought a few!
I think one of the best things about buying tickets, even though the chance of actually winning is pretty much zippadeedooda, is dreaming about what you would do with the money. It's pretty fun. If I were to ever win half a billion (Billion!!) dollars, I would simplify my life. I wouldn't buy the mansion or the yacht. I used to think I would continue working and donate my paycheck or something, but now????? Not a chance! I would tie up loose ends and bye bye .... and then I would go look for a lot of land and build a little cottage and start my organic co-op farm

I'm trying to get into everyone's journals tonight, but my computer is on slow-mo/dead mode or something. It's almost midnight, so I'm hitting the sack and I'll try again tomorrow night!

Spa day sounded awesome!
I am getting worried hearing about everyone getting their shopping done - I know you mentioned needing to mail several of your gifts out, but I feel so behind on shopping this year !

Well, I finally made it to page 115. Fabulous read! Swooshie, you and your friends are entertaining, and sometimes even informative...made a couple of workout notes during the countless hours of reading...that being said, please don't give a test on this three...my retention isn't what it used to be. Swoosh, one favor, or maybe I missed it, did you put up a pic of the saw planks? Gusty, huh, just finished reding...making my first (and maybe only) post, and I ask for something? Forgive me, I'm old and weak with a sinus infection...please indulge is creaky old guy (nothing else is working...thought the saw planks may be a miracle cure). In for the wisdom!

Swoooooosssssshhhhie!
Just got caught up with your journal and I had to stop and drool at the brownie and cheesecake pics Your after Thanksgiving dinner sounded like fun, even with the over flowing toilet. I lol'd at the brownie incident and that no one would fess up to eating them
That's awesome that your clinic took everyone out for a spa day! I think more places should do employee appreciation type events, I think the only thing I got from previous jobs was free pizza or BBQ. I saw the Smoochie nail polish the last time I got a pedicure, I'm pretty sure because I thought it looked like Swooshie at first too
I hear ya on the hamstring/posterior chain feeling weak. I actually created a work out that focused on the posterior chain because I had such an imbalance with my quads.
We bought tickets and didn't win either, but its always nice thinking of things that you could do with the moneyIf this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.
I like eating, it helps with the not dying.

Hi Swoosh! Nice arms indeed! I need to try CG Bench, I never have done them I notice you put arms on one day. I was noticing my bi's & tri's are pooped from supporting during back & chest that I don't get as much out of them as I think I should. Was thinking of putting bi's with chest and tri's with back. What do you think? I'm on week 2 now and really like Y3T.

Shoot I'm sure one of those 4 people must be a long lost cousin or something! Oh well, I showed up at work today .....
Thanks! I like doing CGBP ... sometimes I'll do it on the Smith with a throw .... makes me pay attention!!
Hiya Meg It was fun to dream even if we didn't win. I need to pop back into your journal. Are you competing soon?
Hi there CC Spa day was soooooo awesome!
I'm usually not this prompt with my Christmas shopping, but I'm really in the spirit right now and I've been having lightbulbs go off in my Swooshie head about cool gifts for people and I've actually been finding them! I like to buy from local vendors and craftsmen so my gifts are a little different. I don't order a lot of stuff online because I like to see it first. Now let's see if I can stay in the spirit and get it all shipped off in time.
Well hello there! OMG....did you read my entire journal???? So have you figured out I'm a little bit cookadoo
Yes, I've been meaning to put an example of saw planks in my journal for Julia ... I will do that tonight, promise! Thanks for stopping by and posting! Please stick around ... awesome people in here!
Hey Echo! That would be cool to have a nail polish named Swooshie I swore that's what it said when I first read it .... I was like "Whoa!!! Look you guys my name ...... um, never mind, you work people don't know anything about my Swooshie life .... carry on!" Whomever has the job at OPI of naming the nail polish colors has the coolest job ever! I love the names they give their colors!
You too on the hamstring quandry? I'm going to put them first on leg day and see if I can build those babies upLast edited by swooshie; 11-29-2012 at 01:48 PM.

Swoosh - love your idea about the farm co-op with your winnings! I was hoping I could get some birthday mojo working for me and buy a winning ticket last night but alas, no winner winner chicken dinner here either. Hubs and I have the same dream that you have though - enough land to roam around on a 4-wheeler, grow our own food, teach good values to our children, yada yada. Hopefully we'll still do a decent job of the last one there without the millions
Great arm workout! Those CGBPs superset with skull crushers really wear my triceps down so I like to throw them in at the end of a workout sometimes - after benching sometimes I'm lucky to get two sets in with the 30lb bar before I'm afraid I'll drop the bar on my face when I move into the skull crushers set (embarrassed to admit that but it's true!)Please join me on my journey to find balance:

Darn ... I was so wishing someone on here would win! I even had my fingers and toes crossed!
Thanks E I'm heading over to your new log tonight!
Thanks, Julia! I like CGBP ... try them on the Smith with a throw! Good warmup!
I found the same with my arms, plus I really like arm day, so I did tweak the program in that respect. I think your idea is good too. I'm glad you like it! Next week will be my 9th and final week of Y3T. I'm looking for a new program, but I definitely will return to Y3T one day. I loved it and had good progress on it ..... win
My bb.com order arrived yesterday and I hit the Free Sample Jackpot!!! I swear they must have thrown in 30 samples of awesome stuff! One of samples I got was an MHP Power Pak Pudding ... which I've been wanting to try. Glad I got a sample .... not so sure about it. Gimmee Puddin!!!!

Es, I read the whole thing...took about a week. I came down with conjunctivitis in both eyes yesterday. The doc said it was a result of my killer sinus infection. I told her it was from reading the first 110 pages of your journal. She didn't understand...medical expert my a$$. And I used up the remainder of my annual deductible for that? Sheesh

my lottery wish list:
no mansion, bentley or luxury yacht
house built around alternative energy (solar, wind, rainwater catch)
no cars would cost more than 10k
would buy the same for my parents
small farm might be good (chicks or foxes? why not both )
but if i truly was rich. i would probably do lots of charity work[][][][]===FREE AGENT===[][][][]

Nice workout Swoosh - megaarmpump.jpg
Ha that's great, love that idea! If I won all I'd do is retire SRS. Pay off the house and invest most of the $ for retirement to make sure I can live as I do now, and of course help out a few family and close friends. Would not want to work or run business honestly, too much hassle, BUT would volunteer at an animal shelter as I would truly enjoy that and need something to do that's somewhat structured. Would add equip in home gym and buy another pair of these awesome Nike sweatpants I just got from black friday haha. Maybe travel a little but I like being at home and would miss my pets to be gone too long srs. BRB help out at animal shelter, hit gym, eat, chill with friends, chill at home, sleep 8hrs a day, don't worry about bills = perfect life.
Oooo I hope you talk about those here, I love hearing about cool new supps! Those bb.com guys are awesome. Ordered my stuff Mon at 4am, got it Tues afternoon, highly impressed.Current PRs:
